British Soccer Fan Reacts To Georgia vs LSU Highlights | SEC Championship Game 

Been a Georgia fan all my life. Ups and downs, wins and losses, the good and bad, and just about everything in-between. The last couple of years have been something close to a dream I always dreamed of as a kid. UGA finally being the team everyone fears. Its great to be a Georgia Bulldog! Go Dawgs!

The SEC Championship is played in Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta Georgia where the Atlanta Falcons (NFL) play. Most championship and bowl games will play at neutral sites and mostly in NFL stadiums. Of course, Atlanta is only an hour away from UGA so it feels somewhat like a home game. We’ll take it, Go Dawgs!!

The SEC Championship game is being played in Atlanta GA at Mercedes Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United as it always is. Very close to home for the Bulldogs although they have to earn a trip to the game like everyone else!

I'm from Georgia. So obviously I'm a Bulldogs fan. This more than likely will be 2 national titles back 2 back for us. Being the Southeast conference champions is awesome. But we want it ALL! And expect LSU to go far in the coming years. Btw.. most college football fans will agree that the SEC is the toughest and most talented of all the conferences. I believe the only team that might give us a tough match up with the games left will be Michigan. Both teams are very physical. Georgia just has more depth at all positions. GO DAWGS!!! Georgia actually has a 5* QB on their roster. And 2 4* QBs as well. But Bennett has improved a lot and is a damn good QB. I love that guys confidence and the way he plays.

The game was played in Atlanta, GA at the Mercedes Benz Stadium...which is neutral ground. UGA's "home" field is in Athens, GA. I wish you would pull for Georgia. You'd get more subscribers that way. UGA will be winning their SECOND National Championship in January(most likely).

Big UGA fan here and came across your video via algorithms, but you got everything right in the video really.. Especially considering you're new to the sport. In case hasn't already been clarified in other comments, the stadium is a neutral site for both teams in Atlanta, which is about a 1 hour drive from UGA's campus and too far to drive for LSU (probably a 1 hour flight or so). Mercedez-Benz Stadium is also home to the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL and Atlanta United of Major League Soccer. Atlanta United are a relatively new team for the league but have already won it once and the most relatable thing to you may be that Miguel Almiron was there before he went off to Newcastle in the EPL. Keep up the good work!

So this game was played at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia which is home to the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL. This is were the SEC title game is held every year, for now.

I’m from Arkansas and as far as I’m concerned LSU is our rival. We’ve had some great games against them. But I have a lot of respect for Georgia. They killed us last year but then again they rolled over almost everyone they’ve played last season and this one. Sometime you should check out The Miracle on Markham 1&2 that’s a couple of really good games we played against LSU back in the day. The SEC Championship games for a long time has been in Atlanta Mercedes Benz Stadium BIG 10 At Indianapolis Lucas Oil Stadium. Pac 12 Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas ACC Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte Big 12 championship rotates but this year's is at ATT Stadium in Arlington Texas(Dallas)

FYI American Sports always have the "Home" team listed last. So it would be stated like LSU @ Georgia. Bowls, and Championships can be different as some are on neutral ground. Another way to tell the "Home" team is they will be wearing their colorful uniforms while the "Away" team will have the mainly White uniforms.

That’s what this is then later in the year will be bowl season where there is a lot of consolation games for teams to win a trophy. But the 4 best/most deserved will play in a 4 team solo elimination tourney for the national championship semi final games are around the 12/31 1/1 then national championship is later in the week. That’s college football :)

The QB for UGA always wanted to be a UGA quarterback, but he didn't get a scholarship. He instead "walked on", or paid for school himself and tried out for the team. He made it as a quarterback but didn't get any playing time, so he transferred to a junior college. Had a good year as their starting QB, and then UGA lost a back up QB, so they offered him a scholarship. He still didn't play but eventually got a chance. Then when the starting QB was healthy, he lost the starting job again. He got it back and won a championship. It is a good story highlighting the fact that he never gave up. He just kept "chopping woods' as they say.

This was a neutral site game for the Championship of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). LSU won the western division and Georgia won the eastern and they play this game in Atlanta, Georgia to determine who will be the SEC champion.

When Georgia's Christopher Smith ran the blocked field goal back for a touch down, LSU players do know the rules. 99.9% of the time the defense would have let the football "go dead" and the play would be over. Players are taught if a block field goal goes past the line of scrimmage to let it 'die". Reasons being if Smith would have fumbled the ball and LSU recovered then LSU would have another 1st and goal or Smith could have been tackled 10 or 15 yards further past the line of scrimmage, and other reasons. It was just chance that Smith saw the opportunity since LSU players and his own teammates thought the ball was dead and started walking off the field. He saw his chance and took it. Was a good heads up play by Smith

Played in Altanta which we pretend is neutral but it's basically a home game for Georgia.

Georgia has good backup players so they can play them to give the first string a rest. LSU doesn't have the depth that Georgia has so they couldn't really rest their people.

It's the southeastern conference "sec" championship its played in Atlanta Georgia every year. If you look both teams have art on the field not just one. It's considered a neutral field

At quarterback, UGA has two 5 stars, Brock Vandagriff and Gunner Stockton, and a 4 star, Carson Beck, on the bench behind Bennett. Beck is Bennett's backup and is a very good quarterback in his own right; next year I expect him to be hell in a bucket. Bennett is also a Heisman Trophy finalist; it would be a fairy tale if he won.

So with conference championships, typically each conference will take the top two teams from their 2 divisions to play in their given conference championship, i.e. the SEC has the SEC east and the SEC west. The Conference championships are SUPPOSED to be played at a neutral field, but with the SEC Championship being played in Atlanta GA in Mercedes Benz Stadium (home of the Atlanta falcons and Atlanta united), and with UGA playing only an hour away in a town called Athens GA, any time there is a Conference championship, any time they play there us UGA fans take it as a sign to make it a home game with UGA fans showing up in droves, even if Georgia is technically listed as an away team. This game they were listed as a home team so that just made it worse for LSU lol. Hope this helps!

This game is at MBS in Atlanta University of Georgia is in Athens about a 90 min drive NE of Atlanta, so the Loud Crowd is Obvious 😆

It's played at a "neutral" field. The SEC championship has recently been held at the Mercedes Benz (which is a professional/NFL stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons). So while it is technically neutral site, it is much closer to where The University of Georgia is located than LSU

SEC championship is always played in Atlanta Mercedes-Benz Stadium. It is supposed to be a neutral site but Alabama and Georgia both you could say is at home playing there if they play anybody besides each other, they will have the dominant fan base

All of the conference championship games and bowl games are at neutral sites. This one is in Atlanta, Georgia, which is geographically closer to Georgia’s campus, but there isn’t any home field advantage

When I don't know where they're playing, I look at the endzones. If they are both painted for the same team, that's the home team. If they are different, it's "neutral ground". Neutral can coincidentally be heavily favored in many cases, though. LSU4LIFE

These are just conference championships which is basically totally separate from the bowl games and CFP. Just a game between the 2 best teams in each conference to determine the conference champ. Going forward in the 12 team model. Conference winners will automatically get in (I believe).

To your mention about 5-star recruits. A lot of the time a lot of 5-star recruits don't mean anything since some turn out to be busts. They either don't transition well from high school, don't play well under the scheme that the college team runs, or they get the "big head" and think they run the school. In my experience, there have been a lot of 2 and 3 star recruits that have something to prove so they turn out to have a better work ethic and discipline than the 5 stars. Take Texas A&M this year for example. They had the number 1 recruiting class in the country coming into this year and finished dead last in the SEC. Had a losing record

You mentioned it's a "game of mistakes" and you aren't wrong. It's always a game of who makes the fewest mental errors. Then it's who makes the fewest physical errors.

All of the championship games are neutral site games at NFL stadiums. TCU vs K State was at the Cowboy’s stadium, this game was at the Falcon’s stadium, the Michigan vs Purdue game was at the Colt’s stadium, the PAC-12 game was at the Raider’s Stadium and the ACC Championship was played at the Panther’s stadium.

Game is in Atlanta. Practically a hole game for UGA. I live halfway between the two. 25 minutes to Atlanta, 40 to Athens. The difference in time is due to roads. The SEC championship is always in Atlanta, but I think that is going to change now that the SEC is bigger. Probably alternate between New Orleans and Atlanta. UGA fans"travel" better than anyone, I believe. They load up RV's(aka caravans) and they caravan to wherever UGA plays. I was friends (still am I guess!) with a family that rides up with the bulldog, whos name is Uga(Uggha). The owner, a lawyer in Savannah, where I am from, is good friend with them, and he takes Uga(I think it is Uga 11? The eleventh of his name!) to every home game. Even if UGA plays 2,000 miles away, you will see a mob a Georgia RV's in the parking lot.

Watch number 0 Darnell Washington. He & 19 Bowers are both Tight Ends (TE) they are in there yes because they catch well, but they won their Position because they Block well when the play called does not involve the ball to them. Big Darnell Washington has come so far. Bowers Won his starting position in 1string last year as a Freshman, first year, sent a video to Ga to get a tryout. These were not 5🌟 boys Lady McConkey wasn't wanted by anyone so Kirby said bring him in let him tryout. These guys Won their playing positions. It's truly amazing what this team does to build players during the off season. They will start in April every year training running working hard. Your heart will go in just like everyone who takes time to learn them. Keelee Ringo who plays for his mother who battles cancer makes the most important interceptions and they Love him when he does. Each player has a story, Coach Smart Always Thanks Fans First. He never sugar coats any press conference, he tells his mind always. He's the reason These Boys Stay here with him, They as a Whole Want To Win. They Lost 14 players to the NFL Draft last Year, What team can lose So Many Starters and Still Have Players Ready to Play Those Positions Good Enough To Win The Next Year? Nobody Unless they Have Trained & Practiced Them Up To Step In, They Never Brought any From Other Schools, They Had Boys Ready To Step In to Fill Those Holes. It's unreal how he has built this team.

In the Top division aka FBS most conferences have championship game aka Finals at Neutral sites, smaller school have it on campus (depends on the top team of the conference hosting but just as intimate)

UGA doesn’t need a 5⭐️ QB. We have Stetson … who beat out a 5⭐️. His story is amazing. We do have some 5⭐️ QB backups and we’ll start seeing them next season.

What you Need to know about Georgia is Kirby Smart doesn't "bring in" players. They keep them if they are recruited from high school or they walk on meaning they try out to make the team. These boys are the ones who stay and keep getting better. A few leave because They Are Good and don't get much playing time because someone else won the 1string position they play. Quarterback Stetson Bennett did not get to play (read his story it's amazing). This team developers the players, they do not take from other schools. They Must Earn their right to play. Other Teams take from the portal transfer, not Ga. Kirby Smart will go down as one of the Best Head Coaches in history, we are watching why. Their locker room is awesome too. Ga boys are tough as they come. They don't watch "individual" stats and get jealous somebody else gets more of anything, They Want to Win and Kirby loves them all. It truly is a Team Effort.

British Guy:. You asked how good Georgia would be with a five star recruit at quarterback. The star next to a recruits name is about the potential of that recruit. Stetson Bennett was probably a two star recruit. I say probably because the recruiting services don't really rate recruits less than three stars. Since the recruiting rankings are about potential then some guys who are ranked as a five star may have peaked in his talent and not get much better. At the other end with guys who are lower ranked, or are not ranked at all, they maybe got a later start in realizing their potential and they later on turn out to be a lot better than the recruiting services predicted. Stetson Bennett was a guy who believed in himself and never gave up on himself. He kept hanging around until the coaches had to recognize his talent. As they say persistence pays off. And to answer your question no Georgia would not be better with a five star recruit at quarterback. Stetson plays just as good as a five star recruit who lived up to the ranking. Stetson is really good.

They are playing in Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta Georgia. While technically a neutral site it's more like a home game for Ga. Their campus is fairly close to the stadium and they play in the stadium often enough to know it vary well and have a heavy fan base at the games.

Oh & PS sorry I'm watching you kinda like LSU more, watch the Ga Defense when a player does something special. They get the "Savage Shoulder Pads" put on them by their team mates when the get off the field. Such love & excitement For Each Other! They All Love Each Other...So Rare to Have Zero Jealousy just a drive to Win! I'm just an old lady who has loved football since my highschool cheerleader days early 70s, I know teamwork when I see it. Who is to say that Stetson Bennett didn't become a 5 star athlete over his time with Georgia? He fits the system that Georgia runs perfectly. He reminds me of another Georgia quarterback from the 90's that still has deep ties Eric Zeier. Not quite as big, but heart makes up for size at times. He is not the prototypical NFL quarterback, but he gives everything he has to his team and university.

They pick a neutral site for the championship games years in advance. This was being played at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium (awesome stadium), where the Atlanta Falcons play (NFL). The problem, of course, is that the University of Georgia is only a short drive down the highway, so this was pretty much a home game for Georgia. To be fair, LSU is only a 7 hour drive away.
