I was confused because by the way Anna Marie pronounced her partner's name, it sounded Afrikaans. When Susan spoke, she spoke the queens English so idk if she's English or Afrikaans lol

No matter how bad your life might be, there is always someone struggling more than you. But yeah, they are not the strictest parents in South Africa. I loved this episode. Second time seeing it but brought me to tears yet again. Hamzah and Charlie are good hearted kids and very sensitive and loving under that bravado. I think they were just trying to hide from things that were painful. Charlie from her father's illness and Hamzah from the confusion and difficulty of trying to straddle two different cultures and trying to find where he belonged. They were matched with the perfect family - the South African family were so beautiful and kind and strong. Hoping they all went on to live amazing lives.

You might find that you have lovely parents just have to understand them parents are often struggling to do what’s right …..there is no handbook to parenting…….children are also hard to understand even when they are your own and love from both sides can change everything……you have to shown love never hide it and say what is troubling you parents can’t read you mind.

This episode wow. My mom was diagnosed with MS when I was 12 and all responsibilities soon fell onto my shoulders. My dad passed away when I was 17 and then my mother became my financial responsibility aswell until she died. That meant 2 jobs and alot of sacrifice from my side. What I will say is that's it's extremely traumatic in the final stages. My mom was bedridden her last 6 months and its been very difficult for me to deal with that.

I think 90% of the problem is that parents think that sending their kids to fancy schools will discipline their child for them. That's a lot of the problem that teachers have in the classroom with misbehavior as well.

I find them very interesting, and I can always learn from them. By the way, because I always forget, how many states, or is it countries, or in Africa? Isn't it really really big?
