As a cricket defender to my grave, I think modern attention spans will kill the 5 day test format Sadge. GOAT format for stories and wars of attrition.
I’m pretty sure Clint thought it was called bags because… baseball uses a baseball hence the name. Football uses a football hence the name. Cornhole uses small square sandbags hence the name bags.
I would assume baseball is baseball because you need bases and a ball to play. The game would have been named first, then eventually a special ball made (rather than using whatever they had on hand) and named after the game. Or at least I presume so.
