Our politicians, education system, entertainment industry etc is just as bad, the whole structure is a mess. Regardless China also have strong policies like banning some platforms and medias, I think what China offers in entertainment industry is even better, they have amazing tv series base on ancient culture, with amazing visual effects and stories, I even stop watching most entertainments from Netflix, and start learning mandarin, China proof how far an independent nation.can do, no only manufacturing their own devices, railway also their own space program.
