britney needs coaching, but i’m not saying that in a “omg she’s so bad she needs vocal lessons” way. Even some of the best vocalists still take lessons. Britney can definitely sing, taking singing lessons would just help any singer.

Britney's real voice is very deep and soulful, 23 yrs of being forced to do the baby voice, and lip synch obviously inflict damage to it, i hope she finds a vocal coach and uses her brillant deep voice for her next album

I was honestly so surprised when she released this and even teased recording a new song. I'm glad that her trauma hasn't blocked her from music. I do want to hear her true voice in music and would love for a vocal coach to help hone her true sounds. I always knew she could sing since I was a fan since childhood.
the fact she was just having fun on instagram and half of the internet is talking about that demonstrate that she's an icon, she's a legend and she is the moment. also with a single post she teased her comeback, sang, insulted her family, fed the gays and wrote a summary of her incredible career. truly iconic.
We should Let Britney sing and explore her voice like we all do at home, she’s a great singer and there are videos of her singing “something to talk about” beautifully. She even sang happy birthday live and it was full of bass
Hearing her use these tones again surprised me honestly. It's nice to see her messing around with her voice especially after such a big break in her music.
She just hit a G5 and it was quite easy for her (there was tension on the note, but she just opened her mouth and it came out and that surpirsed me a lot)

As a singer and going through trauma of actually a producer telling me I couldn’t sing and I wasn’t good enough everyday.. I physically couldn’t sing and had to find my voice again and especially after I left that situation it got stronger.. the voice is connected to how you are spiritually.. she’s breaking free from the shackles that was her life for a long time and now she’s literally and figuratively finding her voice.. make no mistake that is connected and the stronger she becomes in herself the stronger her voice will be
She's feeling free again. She mentioned how they would delete things from her phone and take coffee and other stuff out of her cupboards. So far beyond restrictive. She can find herself again. I would imagine she will go back to taking vocal lessons like so many singers do anyway. Vocal coach on call and before every performance. Hopefully this is a great sign! There will be many that are critical trash bags of her. Always. Hopefully this means she can find her voice and be her real authentic self using her full range of voice. Not the limited version they were forcing her to do. Bring it on Brit!
Finally showed her true voice again. Big-voiced soprano. Wonderful to hear. I wonder if she’ll go back to singing Broadway tunes as she did when she was younger.
Considering Britney has been depressed for years, I think her true voice is finally starting to let itself out of the cage. With this new happiness and more practice, she is on her way to prove the world that she can definitely sing.
I really hope she’s starts working with a vocal coach her natural deep tone is waaaay better than her baby voice she’s been made to use. She has a gift, her voice has matured and it would great to see what it can do with the help of a coach to help her explore and take her voice to new heights
Have and always will be a massive Britney fan!!! She's an icon and a sweet soul who deserves happiness like we all do. To me this is simply warm ups! not singing per se, but giving me some Christina type notes/runs I believe with the right vocal coach she could be amazing again, there's still something in her voice to give if she wants to. Hope she gets back to the top!
Hearing Britney’s real voice so good. We’ve all known for years that she can really sing and we now know how controlled her career as been. This is gonna be a new era it will Britney doing exactly what she wants. This will be the biggest comeback of all time when she eventually does come back. And even if she doesn’t bring out new music she is a living legend !!
Britney sounds like she is still stuck in the baby voice she was forced to put on, but that very soulful belt wants to come through. I’d love to see her work with a coach that will let her natural voice come through. I agree there is work to be done; but if she does that work I think the results could be really special.
I don't really tend to follow celebrities or the media, but to see your video from four years ago on Britney to this one... nice! It is good to know her voice hasn't become irreparable.
Its gonna be lovely to hear her true voice. Not the one she was forced to used for years. For her to just be herself and hone her craft. Singing and performing is something she has always loved but was sullied by the people around her. Now they're gone.... She is free to find herself, her sound and her heart.
I think she is trying to get her confidence back and her voice back. Her doing this I feel like is her way of saying I’m ready and I want to show the world the real me and what I can do on my own.

Britney doesn’t need to prove that she can sing. Her real fans already know she can sing. There’s plenty of compilation videos that prove it especially all the footage of her singing before she got signed to Jive records.
No one is saying the video itself is the most iconic singing ever but you can hear potential within her vocals britney hasn't sang in years and has been through alot since then it's going to take a toll on her especially in terms of vocals but given her history in the industry all she really needs is some vocal training and she'll be back on track so is the singing the best in the world? No definitely not but to say "she can't sing or she's terrible" is definitely a stretch.
I think she just needs to remember how to use her own voice rather than the voice forced onto her. I look forward to meeting the real Britney one day :)

Forcing the baby voice for SO many years can’t be healthy , I hope she goes to a vocal coach if she has any issues but personally I feel like her runs are a bit messy and she lacks support in lower register but those are easy to fix , she seems happy and she’s free finally !!!!!
i like how you can give her constructive criticism and point out the good bits of her singing in this instead of just cringing like some people would, i mean you're a professional after all, but i was scared it would be just another video on the internet just destroying her when she really just needs some support and guidance to do better cause she really has potential to sing again! i hope she can get the right person to guide her from now on and help her to sing better and more healthy and take care of her real voice so she can sing however she likes in a way that matches her voice
That was insane, the ease, the low notes and the resonant F#4-C#5 area, i honestly think that her fast vibrato was the one that was making her voice sound shaky but it's an stylistic choice i guess.

I think that clip debunks the idea that her voice has been ruined, at least to the extent people were saying. I don't we've ever heard attempt a note so high and her control is pretty much the same standard tbh.

She just needs a vocal coach to work with, that's all. She has a lot of power and range in her voice is I think what's shocking people. May not have been best in terms of being in tune. However, she has a voice that needs to be trained and refined. That G5 at the beginning shocked me, and the slide down to a C3 is also impressive

Her natural raw voice is really good, she used to sing amazing, there are videoos of her before the hit charts fame kicked in, soulful nice round sound, I hope she finds that back and record a freaking great soulful song.
We haven’t ever heard Britney’s real voice. You can tell by her music there is A LOT of auto tune. However, it is wonderful to hear her express herself freely. 💓🥰🕊

She deserves to have a tour where she actually sings live with backing track and entertain people. I want to hear a lot of tone like on Perfume and the more blues tone that she used on Liar. The demo version of Alien also had a fantastic vocal. I've been really enjoying 'Man On The Moon' too. Her voice on that is very interesting.
