Was very curious to see this from the title, but what an absolute marvel to listen to!

Starting to look forward to my Mondays with your covers, Davina! This cover rocked! Each idea had something unique and all together remained cohesive. The dip you took at 0:25 made me do a little shoulder shimmy; the pre-chorus felt familiar and refreshing, making me echo "still believe!"; I see you sneaking in that gorgeous classic vibrato 0:49; LOVED the contrast between the first clear peak and pull back to start building the second idea; and the final build up from the bridge at 1:31 was fantastic. We got to have a tease of that patented Davina fff leaving us wanting more 🤩. I have a feeling that point on is going to get replayed a lot. More on this later... A couple of ideas for your consideration, I thought a no trill, super cold "oh baby baby" (x2) intro would have opened with that delicate piano a bit better. The piano is so soft and timid it felt like you were clashing with it in the tone you were setting to start. But it resolved and aligned quickly when the notes dropped together. And then you probably know, but the drop before the bridge just needs a bit more practice or less complexity. But don't want to discourage it because the set up for it was really nice! Finally, I want to revisit the climax of the song. Between 1:40 and 1:47, that was so cool, Davina! You've shown us this before, but you're able to bring out this tenderness even when you're at a ff. I'd love to see you explore that more with maybe an older Mariah song? No pressure if that's too far out of your comfort zone - but I think you totally have great potential in delivering that feeling in that way! Overall, so dope. Keep crushing it!
