Yes it may "technically speaking" wasn't a very strong vocal but it was so believable and heart warming. Genuine vocals will always win over the shouting and unnecessary and awkward vocal ranges. This is real and relatable.
All these critics trashing her singing voice are irrelevant; the point is she completely hypnotizes the listener and instantly takes over whatever she’s singing. You know it’s Britney and you understand the feelings/emotions she’s expressing. Britney has mastered the art of interpreting songs through her instrument and the way she can manipulate her tone to suit whatever emotion she is portraying is absolutely spectacular. It’s the little imperfections and “mistakes” that make her singing so great and nearly impossible to replicate. She is and forever will be an icon.
Christina may be a singer, but Britney is more than that. Britney is a vocal actress, her voice taking you to feel the highest highs and the lowest lows.
Yep she’s from Lousiana but was influenced by R&B singers so it comes out her voice. Her demo was a Whitney Houston song! She was ambitious and it paid off in the long run
For those who say she sounds like she's struggling with her vocal control It's because in this particular scene she's discovering for the first time the piano arrangement he prepared for her, so she's following his lead accordingly. I think she sounds beautiful especially 0:33 "realize" I have chills every time.

She can sing, she's not amaaaazing like Mariah but she does have a sweet, modest and pleasant voice so the rumors that she can't sing are no longer relevent...this video proves it, the girl can sing. multi million dollar record labels just dont sign people to their labels risking millions of dollars if the person can sing.
i agree with vegas, i dont think at any point during her actual recording career it was about the singing, it was up until she actually got the record deal i think, but she did have more vocal songs back in the day, but if it was ever about her voice, she wouldnt have lip synced so much in the ballads at least
@MsWatson100 You're right I guess. I think when she was discovered she had a great voice (early videos of her as a child and in the begining of her career show that) Still love her tho even if her voice isnt as great as it used to be.
Lol i know i commented 5 months ago on this but i remember going to see this movie in the theaters with my mom when i was like..11 1/2 or maybe just turned 12? I wantd my hair died just like hers and i got it done looked so nice! Haha wanted to be just like Britney...its hard watching this because it brings back the good times and she was on top and really healthy no bullshit...i know nobody cares but shit i'm a brit fan! love ya brit!
@BritneyForEverFan I just listened to it. You're right, it's good. I wonder why they didn't release it...it invovles much stronger vocals than some of the other songs she has released lately.

@XAmandaXSotherlandX actually there is many, there is one of her singing like a prayer, sometimes, overprotected, girls just wanna have fun etc... there are lots you just gotta look for them most of them are really good

yeah I agree, I think that after The Original Doll, an unreleased project which she had full control over... she def changed after that project was scrapped, in a bad way, now its ALL about the sex with In The Zone it was about her singing and the sex and b4 that it was all about the singing!!!
yeah, I also do, but I think her best time was during, you know The Original Doll, and the sessions for Blackout were also good, but what eventually became Blackout is also alright, but Circus was horrible, I mean there were only a few songs that were good... but My Prerogative was also great, but the songs that were made for Blackout were also great.
@missninja96 nowadays she doesn't dance, she just walks... so she could try singing when she's not dancing... and this is coming from a major Britney fan. But... she has to do at least one of them... she can't not do any!
@lauravuitton7885 not true, though i appreciate your opinion, i think britney sells more because her songs are nice and it's fun. christina dresses sexy as well but she's not doing as well as britney. christina is just over singing most of the time. britney has the fun pop sound that's hard not to like. that's just my opinion.
I love the song and Brit but jakes has a point I could hear her struggling and going slightly off key at time so it wasn't perfect she can sing definitely and I won't that for her but her biggest plus is her stage presence her ability to perform and wow an audience her dancing her fierce looks all which come with being a pop who rose to fame in the 90's so yes she can sing but her voice isn't unbelievable like a Christina anguilera or a Whitney Houston or a Celine deon it's just the way it is
well that is your opinion not mine but that doesn't change the fact that Britney is more of a performer not a singer she doesn't have an 8 octave range but she's pretty and she can dance she had sex appeal which was he biggest selling point at the time and she used it but no producer, manager or anybody with a brain would centre a concert around her just singing and be honest you probably walk out of the concert too

If they can have a good looking girl with a decent voice they can make even sound better with technology..throw in an awsome song writer ( max martin) or two and there you go. Not that Brit had 0 talent..the girl can dance her ass off..but ets face it..she's more of a performer then singer..people go there to dance to her songs and watch her dance. People go to a Mariah concert to listen to her sing..see what i'm sayn

"And theN We Kiss Real Voice"... it's like a filter on the original, that all the autotune goes away, that person also has anoher vid, with like 10 songs in that same program... and I do too, like, "Let go" and "baby Boy" are here best songs, oow and "Just Yesterday"...
yeah I think maybe Original Doll couldve been vocal and Blackout also she made her greatest songs then... but some songs on Circus are all about singing, but no, it wasnt about singing, but at least more than now, now its just lipsyncing and autotune...

I never said she was a bad singer!! Learn how to read!! She has nothing at all special about her voice!!! She sounds like many ordinary girls I know. She is only a performer, not a singer! I like Brit, I am just stating a fact that everyone in the music industry knows and thats how Brit isn't a singer. If she was, she wouldn't lip every performance she does. She is only a PERFORMER!!
Talented? You people are so amazed that this girl actually has a voice that you miss the obvious! Mariah Carey has talent! Aretha Franklin has talent! Hell, even Katy freakin Perry has more talent than her! Just because you see her actually singing once doesn't mean it's good. 90% of the wannabe singers in the world can do this and better.
