I do it cause I can... for no other reason than that. I don't make any revenue worth caring about because everything is copyright constricted. The majority of the videos that have ads are ads that are put their by the people who created the video or song I am watching or listening too. I don't get anything from recording these videos at all other than making friends and enemies lol.
