The timbre of woodwinds is so beautiful, I genuinely can't fathom why they don't get more love from pop, rock, R&B, and jazz composers. Alto clarinet in particular is unworthy of the scorn it recieves even from other orchestra musicians. Great performance, love the phrasing and expression you put into the melodies. Excellent upper body form as well, nice build on the traps and biceps.

Many years ago, I traded an old Oboe & Bassoon for a Vito Alto Clarinet (my Bass is also a Vito). I love it and try to play Jazz Stsndards on it . It’s a lovely sound and worthy of more exposure! Thanks!

Luke my friend, the lower registers seem to appeal to you. Next instrument to pursue on eBay is a Cor Anglais (English Horn). A fifth below the oboe, it has a voice all its own. Give it some thought!

You've really gotten the Leblanc Vito under control and tamed nicely! Your sound is warm, dark and lifting without any fuzzy or blocked notes. Bravo!!! I don't know how you've managed to get that slick and jazzy vibrato going, but it's so neat (I grew up playing "classical only" on my clarinets and would have been smacked with a stick if I tried any vibrato, so I don't know how! LOL). I was just given a Leblanc Noblet wood Alto for my birthday to restore (like I have spare time...) so I'm hoping that it will have as decent a tone as you're producing, since it has a larger bore than the Vito models and could be balky. Anyway, your feel and quality are simply "there" and you give a lot of people good vibes, especially on a blustery day. Well done! OMYGOSH!!!! when you said "spicy" in the video description, I thought you were this dude chandler from "chandler's wild life" who takes care of animals and he always says "spicy" in his videos. Plus, you look like him too! I thought he was living a double life as a musician and an animal carer for a second. Anywayss, had to put that in there for a sec. Wonderful playing btw! You should make a video of a history of how you learned how to play all these instruments :)

Really sweet work. I'm still so impressed at your ability to make these ridiculous instruments get their nonsense in tune. Do you do anything special to reduce the grain in the sound? The last basset horns I played had a real issue with clarity when they were pushed to be in tune.

Really great. I m usually not much after Britney Spears indeed but you version is really sweet. Listening to you and others made me buy an old Noblet alto from the bay. It’s more difficult than Bb, I m still struggling for the right embouchure, Reed, mouthpiece choice :) if you sell your Toxic score I would be glad to try it.
