Realized how the industry destroyed this raw talent. Her label kept making her sing in incorrect register and eventually losing her natural voice. Pity.
Her image...they wanted to focus moreso on her beautiful body and cute face. They probably thought because of her gymnast skills, dancing prowess and athleticism that should would be most marketable as an entertainer and restricted her vocals to a nasally, sexy kitten style...a shame really.
Honestly her good voice really wasn’t all that special. The baby voice was unique and what made her a household name. There are millions of people who can sing like this.

She was known as the I Don't Care Girl. Later Judy Garland sang this in the movie In the Good Old Summer Time. The clip is on youtube.

@Vigbbe lool i know i meant that she had it but she didn't use it ...she did use it in SOME partssssss of sommeeeeee songss ...and through the years and becuz of the shitty pop music that she was singing every day her voice became weaker and weaker cuz she wasn't developing it ,and then smoking and all that ,made that faster (her voice got weak faster)
obviously she still got it she just does not need to use it for her label. she is always been this baby sexy type of artist since day one. jive did not want another whitney wanna be
@Vigbbe the type of the songs that she used to sing at her past don't need her big voice she used it at some songs though ...but after smoking it got ruined
@kokym8 For real? She never used her voice like this in her career. I'm not so sure about BOMT era, but her voice have been soft and shaky her whole career, nothing like this. Watch Onyx tour Everytime. It's not about smoking in Blackout years, it only made her voice a little more deeper.
i think britney spears is garbage and i wouldnt listen to her songs. but damn she does this song really good. she does this song better than anyone else too. im impressed
