My uncle's wife is from Puerto Rico. Her whole roasted turkey is the only one I've ever tasted that wasn't just ok, but delicious. There was adobo seasoning. There were olives. There was umami, and juice! I couldn't tell you what she did, but I still remember it 20 years later.

Well in America most African Americans we do a deep fried turkey. You inject it with your marinades, let it sit overnight. Deep fry it in the morning and I promise you it is soo moist. We like it Cajun style so it may be too spicy for most.

I think they ranked roasted turkey so low cause they don't know how to make a moist bird 🤣 it's okay. Once you guys perfect it, you'll rank it differently

It's not that hard to make a juicy turkey. Just use a oven bag, herb butter under the skin, and baste the turkey as Julia Childs would say.

I live in NC and this year was the first time I ever saw a minced pie filling. Had nuts and raisins. Needless to say quite a few jars ended up in the clearance cart. Do mince pies typically have raisins?

Have y'all ever tried fried turkey...it's so good and the way we do it, the breast is always moist. It's best to keep the turkey around 12-15 lbs.

I've tried to like Brussel sprouts but I honestly hate them which I don't understand because anything else cabbagey I love! I used to hate mince pies then I tried the puff pastry ones with fresh cream...top tier!

Slightly concerned about turkey - Brine it and roast it properly you will have great meat. As a home cook, Im not impressed with the 'its always dry'. Mine never is Learn to cook it properly

I like to spatchcock chicken and turkey heavy seasoning for a day. Fortunately they cook a little quicker and are usually juicier. Happy holidays to you all!!!

Wow !! I think some of these brits don't evan know their culture. Watching to much American stuff. 1st of all Roast Turkey isnt a brittish thing it must be new custom their. Traditional Brittish Xmas is about Roast Goose and maybe a cut of beef, or pork. Turkey is American. Brits that don't like Triffle or Mince pie, Parents must be from somewhere else ..Funny. Lastly Panettone is Italian but I wonder if Brits like because has that dried fruit in I believe its called Citron which is in alot of brittish steamed puddings.
