Brits Try IN-N-OUT Burger for the first time in the USA! 

One of the best parts about In and Out is that there are NO freezers. Everything is fresh. The fries are from potatoes that were cut minutes before. It’s amazing.

After you finish posting your videos from your trip to the US, you need to do one with your mother where she recounts her experiences of the US: people, culture, food, shopping, traffic, sites, etc. It will be interesting to hear her perspective.

Not only does in and out taste better, it’s also cheaper than McDonald’s or Carl’s Jr.

I’m nearly 60, have lived in the US my whole life, and have never had an IN-N-OUT burger. You guys are doing better than I am.

In and out shows you how much better the product can be when you keep it private, have standards and moral principles guiding how you run your business. It’s one of the best burgers out there and it’s fast food

Now I have to go there tonight for dinner. Start with the fries next time. They get cold quickly.

I grew up just a couple of miles from the very 1st In-N-Out Burger. It's been pure burger enjoyment for the last 55 years now!

You need to read about the In N Out Burger. The only family owned franchise with no private franchise owners. Every thing uses is fresh at all point throughout the delivery to the grill. Only in 11 states I believe, could be wrong, but all their deliveries have to be deliverable fresh in order to consider the location to build. Great video keep up the good job.

I've only had in-n-out, on average, once every 5 years since moving to the east coast. It's so good and such a rare treat for me. You west coast people better appreciate what you have over there. And to you Beesleys, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

To clarify what “Animal Style” is, since there are a lot of comments that are incorrect: The beef patty is grilled with mustard, topped with extra spread (AKA Thousand Island special sauce), pickles, and grilled, caramelized onions. There is no "Animal Burger", it's just a style of the way they prepare an item there.

Ask for the fries well done. Also, ask for grilled onions on the double double. ;)

The beauty of In n Out for me is that it’s always fresh, and always consistent. Every time you go there you know you’re gonna be happy

I'm a SoCal native and my favorite at In-N-Out is a 4x4 Animal Style with both raw and grilled onions and extra pickles...and either a pink lemonade or a vanilla shake.

James, you don't have any "chips". you've got "fries". "Chips" are flat and crispy.

Millie is adorable. They try the plain fries…… ehhh? Then she comes to the rescue with, “well you must remember it’s called In and Out BURGER! Funny!

In-n-Out burgers taste great because the meat and fries are never frozen. All the buns and vegetables are sourced within a day's drive to the closest distribution center. In-n-Out is careful to not expand beyond its logistic supply lines. Of one(1) day drive from distribution. So each In-n-Out gets the freshest possible items.

I worked with a guy who used to work at In N Out. He was on the overnight cleaning crew. I think it was him and another person working together. He said they graded him every day on how clean the restaurant was after they were done. Even a small spot of food on the wall would get a negative mark. It explains why it's a really clean place.

We don't have In and Out in Pennsylvania. However, our son lives in Round Rock, Texas, just north of Austin. During a visit, on our way to H.E.B. grocery, we passed an In and Out. My wife pointed, I turned...No words were needed. Both had the double double. Had a very satisfied trip to the H.E.B. after. By the way...The H.E.B. groceries are very very nice. Got some great stuff to cook for our son!!!

They're also cheaper than most other fast food burger places.

I live in Tucson Arizona and it is tradition for my wife and I to get In N Out every Wednesday night. And it is still the best meal I have all week.

Since in-n-out sources its ingredients locally for the freshest experience. Technically there would be slight differences.

That's one of those rare In-N-Outs east of the Rockies. There aren't any east of the Mississippi River where most Americans live.

I'm a California native, anytime I go to In and out I always order a 4x4 animal style with grilled onions, well done animal style fries with grilled onions, and chopped chilies on both the burger and fries. With a strawberry shake. This has been my go to for almost 25 years now. So happy you like In and out, I used to live in Austin TX and remember the absolute joy when the finally came out that way.

In n Out is Californian food. In Texas you eat Whataburger.

This makes me happy. I absolutely love In n out and grew up with them close by. They never disappoint.

They have a machine for peeling. Then they push the peeled potatoes through a fry press. Dropped into a fry basket and placed into the fryer. If you want crispier fries you can ask for the fries to be well done which gets a second drop into the fryer. 😂

Do you see how clean the uniforms are that they're wearing? The inside is just as clean. There's usually a window so you can watch them cooking and know everything is clean. They pay their people more than other fast food places which is awesome. Their owned by a Christian family and so they do everything with pride and honesty. The food is the best quality at a good price. I'm not sure why the French fries aren't quite as good. I noticed that too. I know they're better quality. I know the oil is better and it's changed out regularly unlike the other places. It might be that all the grease that's on the other ones and extra salt they have makes them taste better. Maybe we've just gotten used to garbage french fries😅

In 'N Out used to be the place high school kids hung out late at night in Cali and there'd be a line so far down the street that it'd interfere with the freeway offramp so they put a parking lot literally for people to just wait. I never understood it because you could walk in and get your meal soo much faster lol. Anyways, back in my day, you were given fries with a couple salt packets and you would salt them yourself. And you could order any size burger you wanted so I remember ordering an 8x8. Only to be told they got rid of that a few years later. Do I think they are good? Yes. Do I think they are overrated? Yes. I still rank them better than 5 Guys and Whataburger though.

In-N-Out is a great classic burger. And one of the smartest things they have done is to keep their menu simple. Burgers, fries and beverages. They haven't added burritos, salads or chicken nuggets like other fast food places. They keep it simple and always have a line of cars down the block waiting to get in. A brilliant concept! (But...you did have the hat on backwards. The logo goes in front.)

Five guys has amazing burgers. Fries are fresh but fried in peanut oil. And make it heavy

Been eating IN-N-Out burgers for about 50 years now. DBL-DBL animal style, Grilled onions with chopped chilies is my go to order.

The one thing about In-N-Out french fries is that there only oil, salt and potato. So there are no preservatives nothing they make them fresh every day. And yes, there hamburgers are very good.

I love watching you guys enjoy these U.S. experiences! I have to say, I'm from California, but specifically Northern California, and I had never experienced In-N-Out until I was in my 30s. They're all over Souther California, but not many are in the north. I do think they are pretty unique and in a good way. The quality of ingredients is just far above the typical fast-food joint and yet the prices are about the same. Some think they are overrated, but to each their own.

@TheBeesleys - Also, they have the simplest menu which never changes. And whenever you drive by an In-N-Out the drive thru is almost always full. And the fries are fresh. You may not have noticed, but they press a potato through a cutter right into the fryer. The fries are not processed. In my mind, it makes them "healthier" haha. And 'Animal Burger' is called 'Animal Style'. You order it by saying, I want a " Double-Double 'Animal Style' ".

I grew up as a kid in the 60s living 2 blocks from the original In-N-Out in Baldwin Park California and would go there a coupe of times a week, never knowing what a treat it was for the rest of the world. I did notice burgers from anywhere else were never quite as good though and now am taking my grandkids at least once a week. Thanks for the review! Next tie order your fries medium well...;)

What’s funny about In-N-Out Burger is I’m from California, but I live on the East Coast. And every time we go back to visit family we always have to go from the airport to the In-N-Out Burger to get our fix!

Even though a lot of people think that their fries aren't that good, I have to disagree. I think In-N-Out's fries are delicious. Especially the animal style fries.

Double double is the classic in-n-out order. My favorite thing they have, the only thing you’re missing is a shake!

i'm surprise they didn't ask for extra grill onions or more meat. I always ask for that. And i put pepper on my fries when i go there.

I prefer animal style, no tomatoes or pickles. Fries well. The fries are very plain but you have to remember they are completely fresh. Nothing sprayed on them or things added to them or seasoned. I’ve seen them cut literally from potato to bowl to fryer. Nothing against Carl’s Jr but I love the Western Bacon Cheeseburger. Haven’t had it for a while.

I always order In-N-Out burgers "extra toast" for the buns, and fries "well done" so that they're extra crispy... a couple of Secret Menu tricks you can try next time.

In-N-Out fries are great. They were whole potatoes just minutes ago-not frozen fries poured from a bag that was filled in a distant factory. They are what fries are supposed to taste like.

In n Out has amazing quality control. getting In N Out in Texas will be exactly like getting one in Cali, Arizona, or Nevada etc.

Never cared for the food there. But glad you all enjoyed it.

If you end up in Texas, just remember that In'N'Out and Whataburger are NOT comparable. In'N'Out is cheap, fresh, and basic burgers and fries. Whataburger has a huge variety of selections which are very diverse.

I like In-N-Out and Whataburger, but having grown up eating Whataburger it’s my favorite. In-N-Out is fairly new to Texas and Whataburger has been a Texas fast food burger since the 50’s.

My first experience eating an In and Out Burger was at the Irwindale Drag Racing Strip in Irwindale, CA. more 50 yrs ago. What makes their burgers so good is that everything is fresh, the grilled onion, the tomatoes, and the lettuce is a whole leaf not shredded. Then the Thousand Island or whatever that sauce is the thing that puts it all together. They are well staffed, fast, and friendly and the employees get paid well. If your the manager I understand the salary is quite good. They're not all that huge like other fast food companies like a MacDonald or a Burger King so they don't have any of that corporate BS. And we all know that means less help, less pay, less service, and the food is lousy.

Since the burgers aren't that big, I usually get 2 burgers, skip the fries, choco milkshake - a Double Double with onion AND a Double Double Animal style. I love the raw onion... and I love the grilled onions of the animal style. If I have to get fries, then I'll only do 1 burger but then I have to wolf down the fries before they get stale. That's the prob with super fresh fries is that their fries turn to shit too fast.

In N Out hands down the best chain of burgers in the USA. No contest. First thing I do whenever I go out west is find an In N Out.

The best thing about In-n-Out (from a Californian here) is the price. You absolutely can't get fresh food for that price in the US outside of In-n-Out. Rally's/Checkers and In-N-Out are the only fast food restaurant chains that you can feed a whole family on decent food without spending your whole paycheck.

The best fast food places in the US are hole in the wall one off places or just local chains. The food is so much better than the national chains, but you have to know which ones to go to and being tourists you wouldn't know what the locals do know.

Be careful. That same New Zealand family struck a South African family reacting to their content. When asked they said they didn't want anyone else having images of their kids on a channel they don't control.

The secret sauce it really just thickened Thousand Island dressing...a mix of mayo, ketchup and sweet relish.

Always get grilled onions on your Double double. they are much better than the raw onion slice. also you can ask for packets of "Spread" that you can pour over the fries, they will give you as many packets as you want, I am from Scotland living in California now for past 40 years, and In-n-out is always on our list of place to eat at. Oh, and also try the sugar free lemonade, you will be amazed how good it tastes. Enjoy America!

You can get a burger protein style also which is the same as a regular burger only no bun. It's wrapped in lettuce. That's if you're on a keto diet

In N Out is the best, Culver's is a close second. The double double is my go-to. Millie got pretty possessive over that double double.

Where I live in Pasadena, Texas, we recently got like 4 new restaurants and they all say that they left Oakland lol in-n-out, blackbear diner and I don't remember the other 2

Double double is definitely the way to go. The ratio of meat to bun is so much better that way.

American dtive throughs are usually extremely friendly. Two major US chains will ask if they can have treats and if yes the supply is ample.

Don't even think of trying the fries until they are past their prime. Always let them get cold and soggy. Jeeeeezzz

The thing that makes In N Out stand out compared to other fast food franchises is consistency. In my opinion, most fast food places can vary in quality by location. Like a McD near your home could be good, go to the one 2 miles away and it’s way worse. In N Out has been consistently good from every location I’ve been to on the West Coast (can’t really vouch for the ones in Texas or Colorado) but the ones in California and Nevada have tasted exactly the same with the same quality in Los Angeles to San Francisco and even all the way to Las Vegas. They have perfected consistency and in my opinion that is what all the hype is about.

In and out is the best fast food burger. FYI both the burgers you had were “Double Doubles”. Only one was regular and one was “animal style”. I switch back and forth between both because they are both so good. And if I’m really hungry I’ll get a 3x3 protein style because I can’t get my mouth around a normal 3x3. Also I have never been to an in and out that had skin on their fries but maybe it’s different in Texas but I’m pretty sure in and out is very strict about everything being the same everywhere. Glad you guys liked it!!!

The best thing at In-N-Out is their T-shirts with 60s CA drive-in themes. You can order them online. The thing at Carl's Jr is the Western Bacon Cheeseburger. In-N-Out doesn't have anything like that.

I love how Millie just wants to continue eating the Double Double burger same with the Animal Style burger and then she said it is better than Carls Jr. too! LOL! In n' Out makes really great burgers. But in Texas, you've GOTTA do Whataburger.

You might not know but you can order as many patties as you want. A 4x4 animal style was incredible in high school.

Southern California native with an In-n-Out location literally right around the corner from my house. I don't even go there once a year. I like the burgers, but like the fries better. However, I've always loved Carl's Jr. char-grilled burgers a whole lot more and it's about a minute further away. We rarely eat out since Covid happened, though, so fast food is an only once in a while thing.

The thing that’s special about In-N-Out is all suppliers must be local. The lettuce, tomatoes, beef suppliers, potato farmers, etc, MUST be with a distribution-to-restaurant distance so nothing is ever frozen, overheated, precooked, or overdue. This is partially why it hasn’t spread very far out of California, where a large portion of the country’s fresh vegetable produce is grown. California is also a large producer of beef. The only thing I’ve never known is if their cheese is produced locally as well. I don’t think it needs to be. Fresh fresh fresh. Potatoes cut into fries/chips right when you order them. Never frozen beef rolled into a ball and pressed right before your eyes. There is a reason why their kitchens are so visible to the customer. In-N-Out is a Christian business as well. They print small Bible verses on much of their packaging. The only criticism I could have about In-N-Out would be for other people expecting something else. That would be their fries/chips. They literally put a potato through a cutter into oil when you make an order. They don’t make it super public or anything, it’s not an amusement attraction. So In-N-Outs fries/chips are just deep fried potato strings with nothing else, right? Right. That’s it. Salt them yourself if you want, they’re trying to stay away from GIVING the customer imported products like salt. Ruin the local quality with a salt that comes from India maybe, who knows and who cares. I live less than 5 minutes from an In-N-Out. I cook all my meals though. Maybe I should go more often. It’s definitely the best burger I’ve ever had though.

There’s an In-N-Out and a Chick-fil-A about a mile and a half from my house, they are always busy.

Millie seems so at home here, it seems like she is American. Love the little one.
