being someone who listens to Joss Stone, I think Joss Stone is more eloquent in her singing and phrasing but I wasn't expecting Brittany Kerr to do as well as she did. Of coarse, this is comparing a American idol audition with no backtrack VS a recording that is precisely mastered with maybe more than one take. I think she did great and it would have been a yes from me. I don't think her audition needed more fire as the original didn't have a lot of fire behind the voice.
