I have brittle bones and scoliosis in my lifetime I have broke 56 bones. I had treatment when I was 13 and it changed my life completely, I'm 26 now and since then I have had about 11 fractures. I don't wish this on anyone and who ever has this that they get the treatment they deserve.
My dad has this disease and he just broke his shoulder hip and arm in one fall he is 40 years old and has broken over 70 bones I'm so greatfull that he only has a mild case and all of my friends and family are praying for him. When I was born they tested me to see if I have it the results said I do but 13 years later I've only broken my finger but that was playing matching pitch baseball and the ball hit my finger. Therefore we've figured out I'm only a carrier of the mutated geen I've only ever seen my dad in the hospital 2 times in my life now and when I was in 1st grade so it has been really hard on me to see him in so much pain but im so greatfull with the doctors we are working with he had surgery today and everything went great. I'll pray for anyone out there who has brittle bones for my family it's only a mild case I know this 9 year old has it wore and I play that he gets better and that we can some day find a cure.
I was diagnosed with brittle bone disease when I was 7 months old (the same day I broke my collar bone) I am so happy because I never broke any more bone yet I only broke 1 bone and I'm ten!
Nice! I'm glad you haven't broken many bones. I'm in a similar position, I have oi but have only officially broken 3 bones. I've had a lot of bone injuries but luckily not many broken bones! I hope you are doing well and have not had any more fractures.
