We are back with Britton's Hang Out Hour, and today we got ourselves a doozy this week as I bring on the legendary AP Canavan from ‪@ACriticalDragon‬, and once more I am left shocked that a man of his calibre let me yap on for almost two and a half hours. I am blessed that he was so giving with his time. We talked about a great many subjects while we were on, such as how AP is actually Dr. Fantasy and his nemesis Philip Chase is stealing his thunder, our mutual dislike of Zack Snyder's films, his thoughts on prose and what makes good prose, his thoughts on if there's an objective standard for art, some of the differences that iconic stories have from their iconic depictions, our issues with modern critics, AP's gripes with people who criticize Malazan, his work as an editor and some of the fantasy authors he's hung out with and met, and so much more!
Thanks AP for coming on my channel and being so giving with your time, it was an honor! Next week's guest will be RH Snow!

Don't let A.P. fool you! He's definitely a Titan in his draconic form. They don't call him Professor Fireballs for nothing!

I was definitely a little fuzzy there for a little bit, perhaps he was casting his black magics on me!

Great discussion, I was sitting here working and suddenly I was done listening to this whole thing.

For stuff like Bas Lag that I know of (and the first 3 really need more love on youtube) 1. Max Gladstone's the Craft Sequence series and Last Exit (stand alone) 2. Robert Jackson Bennet's Divine Cities and Founders trilogies 3. Gareth Ryder-Hanrahan's Black Iron Legacy 4. Fonda Lee's Green Bone Saga.

I will add those to my list. Though I'd say Green Bone has gotten some love on BookTube. I'm hoping to get to it next year perhaps.

@@someokiedude9549 defiantly for Green Bone, but the first 3 barely get any love. I think Petick Leo is the only one who's ever talked about Jackson Bennet, Gladstone, and Hanrahan.
