I think what really got me was all these years everyone (even exols) reduced his artistry to just being the “dancer” and the “shirtless guy”. 8 years of having a few moments of a song. There were people saying “oh but who’s gonna sing” when his album news dropped. Well Kai showed the fuck up. He is everything antis are afraid he is- a dancer, a singer, a rapper, a trend setter, an artist. Kai scares them, they’re afraid cause they know no one in kpop could hold a candle to Kim Jongin. I also remembered seeing a few video clip moments a few years ago, in which Kai was openly, right in his own face, being bluntly teased during an interview for being the darkest skin member of EXO, being shamed harshly for his beautiful tan brown skin color. The interviewers were laughing hard, while they hinted that the comment was just said as a "joke", but watching the deep, deep hurt on Kai's face was painful and horrible. He definitely was not expecting to be put on blast by those uncalled, inappropriate, unnecessary comments from those interviewers, they should have been fired on the spot. I'm hella emotional Jongin and us erigoms/ Exols waited his whole career as an idol so we can get this solo album Jongin only wants to show people that he aint just body and dance moves and that he's an artist a phenomenal one at that but he didn't get the chance until now AFTER 8 YEARS I hate SM for this soo much we deserved this content and Jongin deserved the love and support from everyone I'm soo proud of Jongin for being patient and passionate let's shower him with love guys he deserves it.
Preach Mercedes. Kim Jong-in has vocals that's rare, it can't easily be duplicated. People come for him because he sounds nasal but that's a part of his vocals having texture. SM would use Kai's voice to add texture to the main vocalists. Yes, they do people. They layer his voice to add sensuality, listen. When Kai and D.O. hit a note together it's magic. If you remove Kai's vocals from some tracks it would sound bland... a regular round note... Kai gives you a seductive smooth vibrato. You can't sleep on Kai no more, you have no reason people. He's not going to sound like a regular singer because he is unique. Period.

When I first watched the video I couldn't even see anything because my eyes were blurry from crying so much. So many emotions all at once. I'm so proud of jongin and I'm happy that all his hard work is showing and is appreciated by many. Seeing how he has evolved from debut to now fills my heart with so much joy. I also cried during the vlive and while listening to the album, I really didn't think I would be this emotional. I'm just so happy right now.

We might not have had the best year when it comes to exo as a group but individually for members it was a great year - sukai debuting as soloists after 8 years, sehun getting his first official solo song, baek being a million seller, yixing having his own company, chanyeol with so many projects (sc, ost, collabs), xiusoo's musical & military discharge. Even though professionally it was not a good year for jongdae but his personal life was filled with joy by this marriage & daughter's birth. I close to tears when I first saw the mv but the ending with xiusoo had my crying all out. KIM JONGIN REALLY GAVE US ONE OF THE BEST ALBUM OF THIS YEAR. I FEEL SO PROUD OF HIM.

I'm really glad I wasn't the only one that cried after watching the MV. I feel seen and validated! I was a wreck after watching it. I swear SM does not hire anyone that can't sing. I have been an exo-l since 2017. And from the beginning kai has been my mans, my bias, my holy king and no one had taken what I had dubbed the bias throne for over an hour. And I was really invested in their newer mvs cuz I was sooo ready. My freshman year...tempo was my first comeback as an exo-l. And i realized kai didnt have many lines. And I realized that a lot of the members had their own solos. And I wanted one for kai cuz hes so talented and his talent is often overlooked. I love his voice and his dancing and how much passion he puts into EVERYTHING he does and I was soooo angry he didnt have his own solo album. And then this year we all heard the news of the album and it finally came out and me and my friend (both in the same school, we have in person learning every other day) made a promise we wouldnt look at the mv till we were both in school to watch it. And I wanted to cry. Hes SO beautiful and his voice is just UGHHHHHHH and hes such a good dancer and hes got that charisma I love and and holy shit I'm ranting. Ooooooh this man makes me act so stupid sometimes. But yeah. To say I was excited and happy for him is an understatement. I canNOT put into words how I feel rn. Like I've done my best already but I cant really say anything else. Good job ladies. You captured my reaction to this mv perfectly. And I love yall for it.
