As much as Id like to see fights and arguments from moron boaters at the ramps, why would they not put in a simple system of switchable signs designating certain docks for loading boats or unloading boats. In the morning, majority unloading, in the evening majority loading. During the afternoon/early evening, figure out the pattern from experience and adjust accordingly.

i paid the seasonal fee on lake geneva wisconsin in linn township on the south side of the lake. had to leave my trailer and truck in separate slots, but there was an attendant and when you got in the water you would move to a slip. they had about 9. it was worth it. the old guy was always happy to see my GF.

No, I have never operated a motorboat but after have been driving 18-wheelers and many smaller trailers, I always operate careful and slow when backing up and am surprised to see a lot of folks down there not knowing how to do things the correct way. Take care and keep filming!

As one with 48 footer , why do people trailer bigger boats? Too cheap to dock them. If you can’t Afford to dock a big boat. Don’t buy a big boat .Because you’re being a cheapskate you risk others boats and safety.

There's a lake that I go to alot it only has a 1 lane boat ramp and it's the only place to launch. One time I pull up to the lake as I'm driving around you can see the whole thing and there's only one boat on the lake and I'm thinking it's going to be a great day fishing pretty much by my self . Then I pull up to the boat ramp and there's 6 boat's lined up but not launching so I get ready and still nothing , so I walk up to the front of the line and there's a truck parked on the ramp blocking everyone. It was the one boat that I saw on the way in anyway that truck and trailer wound up getting dragged out of the way by an angry man with a large truck. Then they went out to find the guy and give him his valve stems back.

Numbskulls in their own little world. It doesn’t take long to damage water pump out of water. Always amazes me how far those people back their trailers down to load.

A few of the trailers I have wouldn't have much clearance between the tailgate and the wheel crank with the tailgate down. I have one flatbed trailer that I won't allow me to lower the gate. Just something to watch out for. Plus even if there is clearance they might not have much room to spare so they have to be on top of it when backing or they will have a bent crank or buckled tailgate.

well, technically you aren't allowed to sit there and take up space. you pull up to drop off the person getting the truck proceed to stage on the dock or in water, then once the truck has the trailer in water...put the boat on...leave. it amazes me.

If you are doing to take someone else's ramp at least be ready to go. If they were at least ready they could have been out in 60 seconds.

Drop off the truck driver. The boat pulls away and waits for the trailer to hit the water. Boat drives onto the trailer. The truck driver hooks up the strap and winches it in. By the time the truck driver is back in the truck, the boat driver has shut down the engine and raised the drive. Then the truck driver pulls the boat out. Total time with the trailer in the water, 30 seconds to a minute. Of course, this requires one person who can back up a trailer and another who can drive the boat. Wife and I have been doing it this way for 30 years.

These folks all need to know what a 'snotter' is. For the uninitiated it is a line attached to the bow at one end, and the stern at the other. You can then control BOTH ends of the boat with just the one line.

The trailer that was blocked from backing in should have just parked in front of the other guy and tell him if he launches he aint leaving
