i almost dribbled tea out of my mouth when he started doing the grandpa puppet sex show bit. rob mcclure is such a talented actor, he's such a gift. can't wait to see more promo from mrs doubtfire!
I can't decide whether I love more his talent or his heart! Such a great actor, with an amazing voice, a great sense of humour and a natural propensity to empathy. Chaplin is one of those funny, moving, bittersweet performances that touched me in the deep. Wish him the best for this new role!
This is exactly what I needed on today this very long Monday. Rob is always a joy to watch doing literally anything and the video does not deceive: he was the sweetest when I stagedoored Beetlejuice
when I saw beetlejuice in september during the stage door rob looked at me directly in the eyes just thought I’d put that out there I am honored to be looked at by mrs doubtfire
I feel so lucky to see Rob and Maggie as Nick and Bea Bottom in the tour of Something Rotten in Cleveland. He’s an amazing actor and I know he’s gonna kick ass as Mrs. Doubtfire. I can’t wait to see the tour in Cleveland!! 😉😉☺️
As amazing as Rob is as a performer... and as fantastic as that show looks (from the young actors and the released music and the tap number Rob has)... him wearing this version of Mrs. Doubtfire’s makeup is low key terrifying. I mean no disrespect to anybody in any sense. I don’t know what it is, but the (finally released, because I was looking forward to this for a while) visual bothers me deep into my core. I mean, I’m still gonna see the show, and enjoy every single freaking second of it because it’s gonna rock and I’ll daydream of the stage door during intermission... but still. Ya know?
Just one question in response to this..... Did you have the same reaction when you first saw Robin Williams in his makeup, wig and prothectics when he made the change in the movie???
Kelly DeBardelaben *well technically yes, because when I was about 7 I discovered the movie and all forms of prosthetics and makeup terrified me at that age (I think it was the idea of fake skin, idk) but I suppose I grew used to his appearance. This isn’t about the actor or me choosing the original over the new version. I’m not sensitive to much, it’s just that something about this makeup rubs me the wrong way. It may be the eyes and nose shape. It sounds specific, but I have no hatred of anything, just unease. I don’t mean it as a slant to the makeup department either. It looks hard to achieve, especially when accounting the types of prosthetics they have to use for lighting speed application*
Please tell us, is the makeup a one piece foam latex prosthetic from ear to ear, going along the cheek bone, under the eyes and over the nose bridge?? It looks like from the eyes up its robs actual forehead and brows
