Remember seeing this game advertised on one of my old Disney VHS's. This along with Toy Story 2 for ps1 interested me but I never ended up playing them. Nice review btw keep it up.

I have the PS2 version of this. It's pretty much the same thing with slightly nicer graphics.

For an IP based game, this was actually a really good quality, hilarious, and entertaining game. I remember enjoying this so much as a kid. Not just because I loved the movie, but because it was genuinely brilliant. What memories! I'm glad I was a 90s kid, simple fun at its best! :)

I remember this game was on the PS2, simply called "Monsters' Inc.". It's exactly the same but only with better controls, graphics and audio quality.

I know the PS1 version's graphics aren't perfect but that's what PS1 games looked like. They updated it by making a PS2 version in Europe in 2002 with better graphics.

I wouldn't say the looks are exclusively a hardware limitation. Nor the analog contol. This game released in what, 2001? on the ps1. By then we've had all of the spyro games in the trilogy as well as the crash games. This game looks more like Gex enter the gecko from 1998 which came out before crash 3 and spyro 1. Personally outside of those aspects I just didn't find myself enjoying it much. But for a movie licensed game it's alright. Especially for younger audiences.

If Disney Interactive didn't shut down all together, this game should've gotten a remake, with enhanced graphics and animation, plus 3 or 4 new environments and new voice acting for Mr. Waternoose filling in for late Jame Coburn. I was also thinking a possible multiplayer feature suitable for two players in story mode.

The Monster's Inc. Game I remember most was "Scream Arena". Screw that final mission and screw every single mission of keepaway. At least it was so satisfying when I won.

I had first played this game when i was much younger. i had beaten it. years later i bought it again on the ps store for 2 dollars, not remembering much about how to play it or what is was like. i beat it within 24 hours. WHAT THE HECK?!
