Although I love Bowers as a player, for me it comes back to "what is the quickest way for our season to go down the drain?"...Rodgers getting injured. Accordingly, I think we need to go OL at 10.
Good to see you back man, hope all is well. I’ve been an advocate for Bowers since the beginning, he is an absolute monster. He can literally play Fullback, H-back, runningback, in line TE, slot, X, Z.... he is the ultimate weapon for today’s modern NFL.
I disagree with the thesis (the tackles are too good to pass up) but so happy you're back. Best Jets content on RU-vid and it's not even close. You're the man.
My only gripe about picking Bowers is the entire season doesn't hinge on our TE room staying healthy. An Oline injury, or a GW5 injury and we're done for. So while I appreciate this kid's skill, and I'm sure he'll be a playmaker at the next level, I think he's a luxury pick that we can't afford with so much on the line this year. I understand he'd be like adding a receiver but AR8 doesn't go to the TE very often and I don't trust Hack to take full advantage of his skillset and implement him into the game plan. Will I be upset if we take him? No. He just wouldn't be my pick at 10. There haven't been any projections that I'd be upset by at 10. Unless we go defense haha. I think we're coming away this year with a great prospect regardless of position.
I think he offsets the reliance on Wilson. It’s like when the Chiefs lost Hill. They didn’t replace him, they fed Kelce more. OL is a concern if an injury but it depends if that’s the mindset in a must win year
Listen, I understand what a lot of people are saying, regardless of who the quarterback is multiple weapons help us out a lot even with an average line with the running back core. We have and receiver and tight end. We should have an effective offense
I agree. The reason Rodgers doesn't go TE is because Rodgers hates throwing INT which means he hates throwing to the middle of the field. He has arm strength and accuracy so his tendency is to throw to WRs on the edge.
Your channel is very good. Glad you are back and you are usually spot on with our draft picks . Listen Bowers is a generational player just like Garrett Wilson, and Breece Hall ( both picks Jets fans did not believe in 🤦🏽♂️) . I believe we will handle our online situation downdraft or by trade, but we have a lot of cap space so I’m confident in my jets this year.
He’s basically this years Kyle Hamilton, people will regret what they are saying. Nice to see you are on board. Don’t think they do it but no Jets fan should be upset at it.
Good to see you back. What about O-line insurance. Conklin and Ruckert are SOLID. Shouldn't they be worried about a solid back up tackle? To me...much bigger of a need!
They are better ways to build in a short term window than draft a 2024 redshirt, who’s effectively a backup. Conklin is fine. But they have one above average weapon on offense. One
@@PlayLikeAJet Warren will be much better at RT than LT...tape showed that...if Smith goes down?? Not saying Bowers isn't going to be great...I'm tired of watching ZERO offense because our line can't stop a nose bleed and LT's don't grow on trees! Again if they go Bowers I won't be complaining until a tackle goes down and Rodgers is running for his life...the starters are good but God forbid if that silly injury bug strikes the line again for like 7-8 straight years. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS WOOOOOOO!!! Again,Good to see you back...I love your vids and takes... except this particular one,lol
Bowers is like a Christian McCaffrey as a tight end. However before we added to the O-line I definitely wanted Fashanu. Yet Harrison Jr is the only one that makes Garrett Wilson better. Nabers is strong and tough in the middle so he doesn't give Wilson as much space. However I also want to keep the third round pick for Bredon Rice.
Luke! You the best! This is at least year 3? BPA for me so whoever Douglas likes. I’m in favor of Bowers cuz you like him - and because this fanbase will implode because they are idiots! Keep up the great work bud! LGJ!
I was big on sam laporta last year as well. I've been commenting on tight ends in the history of my comments since the inception of this channel. The thing that can't be overstated is that he's coming from Georgia and the SEC. He knows what it is to play with the big boys. This guy is a clone to tony gonzales. Luke knows best. Trust him. Trust me. Aaron rodgers i'm sure is already in love!!!!!!!!
My huge worry is they stay at 10 and draft a lineman. I won’t be mad but man this is a special talent and difference makers should be the picks if you are in the top 10. Very nervous for next week
@@Njbear7453 I think two other guys will be elite but I just don’t know. Not all of them will hit. My worry is I don’t trust this offensive staff to develop them. I agree if Alt is there you just gotta take him.
I'm on team trade down if possible for a 2nd. Rather we shore up OL and WR. We can't afford bad OL play and both our OT's are 33 yr olds. T Smith never plays a full season anymore. Conklin had 61 catches for over 600 yards with garbage QBs. Those numbers should go up with AR playing QB.
I dont subscribe to that about Conklin. Backup QBs feed TEs easy targets more. They get more checkdowns on 3rd and long. I don’t think he’d get an uptick in production. I understand the tackle argument. I’m not anti it. But there were easier ways to solved effectively backup tackle for 2024. An elite weapon is very appealing
Luke. Breaking down my man brock. This guy. Makes me drool brock bowers. We are about to acquire the greatest tight end The jets ever even dreamed of. If the chargers don't take him at five.
Exactly. no one said we are not gonna drive and trade for Linemen . Unfortunately there are no Linemen worth drafting in Top Ten. Bowers is a generational player like Breez Hall and Garrett Wilson we will be stupid to pass up on a player of that caliber
I dont like it. I prefer Fautanu , Fashanu or Fuaga as OT. And yeah Brock is a really good weapon but we have two healthy TEs, and almost everyone we got in the O-Line is Injury prone and we have not enough depth if one of them is injured.
Fashanu could be a pro bowl left tackle for 10+ years. Fuaga, could make our offensive line elite this year, and be our swing tackle. He would probably beat out Simpson, and give us a upgrade!!! We have options.
Im a UGA fan and I can promise you that if the Jets draft him, it will be the best decision they ever made. Bowers is a playmaker and a generational talent. He will immediately be Rogers go to target and will change the whole Jets offense!
I luv ur channel......this is the most ridiculous idea and I can't believe jet fans and the organization is even considering Brock....did we not see the worst offensive and oline in history last year?? If the jets don't pick one of these lineman and protect Rodgers we deserve to lose
They had a historically tough run of injuries the past two years. They’ve upgraded significantly and have an extremely short win now window. They could sign Bak off the street to be the swing tackle. A rookie to come in and play well is a huge ? (And he’d be a backup effectively in a win now year)
@@PlayLikeAJet I disagree....Tyrone Smith is goin to get hurt....he played 13'gms last year but it's too risky....One injury and we are right back to last yr....They need lineman.
Bowers is more so a big slot WR that can play TE, not the other way around imo. he and Conklin would both start. we run plenty 12 personal so Bowers would be in the slot most of the time, inline along with Conklin, or even on the boundary occasionally with GW in the slot. the starting offense would probably be: Arod Breece GW Williams Bowers Conklin
@@Jairogliphx if JD allows a former UDFA and a 7th round pick to stop him from drafting Bowers he should be fired. if he doesn’t draft Bowers that’s totally fine, but if THATS his reasoning, laughable lol
F#ck Luke, I'm going to be honest. I was against Bowers even though I hadn't watch any film on him. All I kept hearing was he had good hands for an under seized TE. But, WTF. This freaking kid is from a different planet. After I saw your break down, I went and watched more film on him. I truly thought that at 10 it was to high of a spot for a TE. But, like I said, this F#cker is from a different planets. He might not get to 10. I hope he does and I hope that we could draft another Weapon for King Rogers. Well mate, welcome back, you were missed. Like always, Thank you for the break down, looking forward for more film from you mate.
I appreciate you Rey. Yeah look, I think 240 6’4 is pretty well sized for a TE in 2024 and I think he’s a well rounded weapon, who would be a great get
Hey man, glad to see your video again. You got your life and all but we miss your positive and quality content for Jets-fans. So much hysteria around this team over the years, it’s always nice to get your insight (and none of the drama). Best to ya m8 👏
Glad you’re back I’ve missed the great content. I thought LaPorta was going to good, but he surpassed my wildest thoughts. This guy is better and than Conklin or Ruckert.
lol bowers has some pretty bad blocking tape. You showed his best blocking reps. Lazard is like 15 pounds lighter with probably same blocking ability’s already on our roster. This dude also has a tiny bit of injury risk. Jets do the rite thing, and draft offensive line round 1!!!
"Bowers is one of 14 FBS tight ends since 2014 with 75-plus career pass-blocking and run-blocking grade" Shoot from the hip with nothing but empty words 😂😂
