This is an inaccurate report. Shanahan said at his presser that Purdy already had the MRI, it came out OK, and the hope is that he'll be able to practice on Wednesday.

I believe it was an hour difference between when the press released he was having an MRI to the report where his MRI is clean and should be back Wednesday. Doesn’t seem to be a big issue, just taking safety measures. Ice it off for a day he should be back training in a couple days.

@@Zafir89 I mean it’s obviously collaborative, but it’s literally Lynch’s job. IE if the Trey lance deal went horribly wrong and the niners didn’t find Purdy, shanahan isn’t getting fired-Lynch is. So seems a bit weird to blame shanahan in this situation for draft choices

Honest question, And how is it agreed upon fact when the fact is that they both have distinct job titles and responsibilities? @@tikka300wsm5 RG3, Jimmy G, Trey Lance, all had a career injury or a career decline due to injuries. U can argue Trey Lance but he was out for the whole season due to Kyle play call. Now Brock Purdy back. If u look over the years, 9ers can't catch a break with our key players being injured under kyle. lets not forget 9ers went through 5 QBs in one season that lead up to the NFC championship against the eagles. Trey got injured playing against Bears, Jimmy injured against the Dolphins, Purdy got injured against the eagles, Purdy backup got injured against the eagles ( same game) CMC had to throw the ball against the eagles in the NFC chapionship

No they just need the nfl to require mahomes to be the jordan of the nfl. They said it before he even "won" his first one against jimmy g and made sure it happened, he's been helped all the way, the niners should have been the dynasty this decade but they even helped the rams get in and win. @christhompson-s6l that team had a healthy cmc and a defense that performed better and the 3 QBs were a 1st round pick, an experienced jimmy g, and purdy whos our current starter. We are not nearly as deep at QB this season nor do we have an elite defense

As a die hard 49ers fan, purdy needs to stop wanting to jump on the injury band wagon. He did not get hit as much vs the rams but here he is with back problems....c'mon.. niner players cant be that weak. 49ers are done, they might be a 7-10 or 6-11 team. I don’t think Kyle Shanahan will ever win a Championship with the 49ers. 49ers need to quickly reevaluate their roster for next year and plan accordingly. They still have a very talented roster and can still win when everyone is healthy. But it’s tough when you come off a Superbowl loss and you have injuries. I don’t think Kyle is a good coach and should be on the hot seat because his drafting strategy was bad and John Lynch should be better at drafting. KC will probably win again or the Bills. I know many NFL teams have never won the Superbowl but I still think the 49ers deserve to win number 6 just because of players they have and the loyalty.
