I was just sitting here listening to Broken Bells when I thought, man, I want to see the guy play this riff, so I googled "Mall & Misery Live" and then I got to watch the guy play this riff.
The guitar riff in this song is SOLID GOLD. I love the way it tears right out of the bassy, melodic ambience. The whole album is good, buy it, but buy it _mostly_ so you can blast this song through your biggest speakers at full volume.
can you imagine if somehow Broken Bells and the Postal Service somehow came together? It would be explosive. Though shared vocals might be a bit weird...
@cobraswan Thank your source for me...I thought on first look it was a Rick but I knew it wasn't. Unfortunately, i think they discontinued that bass, but it's sweet. Do you know where he picked it up?
@curiousnomad yea dude, it happens all the time. my friends and i were using our auto joint roller across from la zona rosa and wiz kalifa asked if we could roll him one. im not a big follower of him, but it was still pretty cool. i saw jake jyllenhal and the lead singer from metric chilling at the cellar door while my friend and I grabbed some dinner. its pretty cool
Notice how he says "all the shit they sell". They must have forced him to censor it on the album. The official recording says "all the things they sell". Meh, I hate record companies. They're just as bad as malls.
"from my little $189 point-n-shoot camera." I you only knew how to use it. Gotta predict the future by a coupla seconds, dude. And stop constantly moving.
