Tyler Coswell family, can't thank u enough I love your channel too. Everything I upload 1000% from the heart, every fan vid, tribute, etc. All in memory of dilla, nujabes, big l, prodigy, ol' dirty bastard, guru, etc. :)
I can’t thank you enough for blessing us with these jams over the years it’s always refreshing when you upload swagga and did you by chance ever get that laptop with the DJJW beats on it?
Tyler Coswell thank u fam. My lil bro has my old collection with all those DJ JW, but we lost contact. I left like all my vinyl and my old CD and tape collection I had since the early 90's at His crib. Then He moved away, once I get in touch with Him again I will cop that CD with those beats. That collection had nothing but the rarest stuff that still isn't on youtube, demos, rare remix versions not posted, white label joints, unreleased beats, etc. I feel bad that I haven't gotten it yet, cause most of that stuff is priceless and irreplaceable. There's uploads I wanted to share that now I can't. I will get it back and bless u with it. Tyler there was an awesome beat DJ JW released on soundcloud too I loved, but I think that was taken down too. Man it sampled I believe megaman, or reminded me of it. It was fire though and I had that track on in that collection too.
St Atue thanks so much man, cause I do this from the heart. All about the legends lost Nujabes, Dilla, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Jimi Hendrix, etc, new artists keeping this alive, good times, nostalgia, good music, old friends, good ol' fashion escapism, etc. :)

Ey i know this is a kinda weird but seeing that you've been involved with this scene since 1992 i just got really curious, so i got a couple questions. How did you get involved ? And what do you think of the scene now? producers like knxwledge and earl?
Søren great question and thanks for checking out the channel. I'm was lucky cause I got exposed to the Underground music scene at an early age via my older sister being into Underground bands in the late 80's. By the late 80's She also started getting into Underground Hip hop and me being younger like 5 yrs I started taking notice. By the 90's I quickly noticed that artist She was bumping weren't the one's I was hearing on Mtv like Sir Mix-A-lot, MC Hammer, Young MC, etc those commercial gimmick ones. Then by 91-92 that's when I got hooked completely and became an Underground head. I got to see Rap City during the golden ear, Yo MTV Raps, I was blessed to hear Stretch & Bobbito during their height via bootleg tapes in the 90s, The Wake Up Show with Sway & King Tech during their hieght, Basementalism in Colorado Springs, The Real Frequency in T.dot Toronto Canada with Arcee & Muziklee Insane in the 90's, The 12 inch Sub in Houston Underground in the 90's, DJ Jephe in the Uk, I grew up on Underground Moscow material, Underground Japan, Tommy Tee's show in Winnipeg Canada back n the days, Bay Area Underground Oakland, Underground ATL, Underground Detroit, Underground Jersey material, & I was privy to Underground Philly artists madd early too. It was an awesome journey and the main reason why I created this channel. Knx and Earl to me are "torch bearers" for this generation and it warms heart to see talented new artists like them keeping this scene alive. Now there's so many outlets and that's awesome for fans today, but back in the days its was like a "Secret society" or a "Cult following". There wasn't many outlets except community supported radio, or College Underground Radio stations that played these artist. You might of heard some of these artist on Rap City, but that often. While most were listening to Snoop Doggy Dogg, The Hot Boyz, Mase & Puffy, etc I was listening to Jaydee, Meccalicious, INI, Finsta Bundy, All City, Ras Kass, Eminem in 96', Cannabis, Company Flow, Dead Poet Society, Alp's Cru, Organized Konfusion, KMD, Wu Tang, Homeliss Derileks, Madlib, Lootpack, Alcoholiks, People Under The Stairs, etc to name a few.
Søren most catz today listen to Hip Hop, but for me growing up it was an escape/creative outlet/life saver. This music and culture helped me during some of the most trying times as a young cat coming up. Music is an art form and truly a gift that happens to be sort of a universal language in a lot of ways. Anytime big homie, foreal.
@@SwaggerLikeUz thanks for telling me the entire story! As a 17 year old i've really only been listening to shit like this for a couple years. I was lucky enough to have ambitions by jarjarjr be my introduction into the scene. after listening to more of his remixes i got into the original tracks and you've been a great source for letting me experience them while introducing me to some of the dopest music on the internet. And by the way, i saw you mentioned someone called tommy tee. Does that happen to be this dude? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Tee
The Hopeless Romantic couldn't do this without people like u fam watching, thanks for all your support and to all these artists. My channel is all for the love in memory of dilla, nujabes, big l, prodigy, guru, etc. salute to broke flavor, I had to show some luv.
InSaNe Engi 132 this video contains visuals from "MC Skat Kat - SKat strut ft Paula Abdul", Paula Abdul - Opposites Attract, & "Family Guy Opposites Attract".
BirraTheGunslinger 99% percent of the uploads are gems and artist I found on my own. I do all the fan videos for free fam, and my only criteria is that the song or beat is "Fire" or your "Best Work". Every track I've uploaded has been a favorite, cause I wanna introduce fans to the artist's best work. Your first impressions are everything. If its a emcee/rapper I look for artist that have great content lyrically, originality, creativity, & delivery. If its a producer? I just try to support new artist who catch my ear like a young Jaydee, Nujabes, Pete Rock, Buckwild, 9th Wonder, etc did when I first heard their music. I get a lot of video request weekly, and I don't turn them down. Some of these uploads like the fuzzy buttocks was something I wanted to do 2 years ago, but at the time fuzzy didn't have a track I felt I could due justice with a fan edit. I loved fuzzy's music, but I didn't have a concept or visual that would complement His music. One thing about me creatively I'm a perfectionist and I'm trying to represent every artist in the most creative way possible. That's why I don't upload that often, cause I believe in quality over quantity. I come from that Underground true DJ philosophy where I'm always digging for talent and giving them a platform while other's are sleeping on them. I would love to hear your music fam, please leave your links. I love digging and hearing new music and if you go to my soundcloud page. Just look at how many comments I've left over the years. There's no one on soundcloud that's have given that much feedback.
@@SwaggerLikeUz Wow 9th wonder and Nujabes are the people that got me into making music (mostly just producing) but yeah I understand your process and even though you take time with your upload they're always something I instantly click on when I'm notified cause I know it'll be fire af. One thing is like to thank you for is how your channel has introduced me to MF DOOM cause I had watched on of your visuals for one of his songs and I got hooked.
@@SwaggerLikeUz personally my production isnt really where I want it to be but I'm learning everyday new things that'll help me gain the skills and kind of my own sound
BirraTheGunslinger that's why I'm here to support and give feedback early on. I remember when I uploaded "jax" He wasn't that great at the time, but I seen a lot of potential early on. I was the first to share His music on youtube. A lot of the artist were shocked I liked their music, cause they didn't think their music was worthy. The same goes for J a r J a r Jr, cause I was the first fan to share His music on youtube other than His own youtube. At the time He thought His music wasn't that good, but I was one of the first people telling Him it was great and He had a lot of potential. Just keep on blessing it cause I will be here listening and supporting via likes, shares, videos, etc.
Hey! I just subscribed here. I never realized you checked out my channel. Appreciate it. Looks like your sub count is pretty darn good! I will stop by when I can. Cheers!
