Thank you, very helpful. I've got one of those threaders in my sewing kit. Never thought to use it :-) maybe some others needed verbal instructions but honestly jeez it's pretty obvious watching that you are tying a thread through the two links with a metal threader and connecting them. Its not how to build a patio with no verbal instructions! Thanks for posting :-)
Omg! Lifesaver for me! My boyfriend bought me a rope chain bracelet as a gift. Months later it snagged on my blouse and broke. Took it to jewelers and broke again. Now, I'm gonna do this technique myself and pray it works! Thanks for sharing
Been looking Everywhere to find a video that shows how to fix a thin chain. Thanks so much. And to the haters, go somewhere else and quit being so rude! I prefer non talking videos over some of the awful music played in a lot of videos. Also, this video does not need explaining. If you don't understand this plain concept, then somethings wrong with you ~ I just never thought of it. Great video and thanks so much!
@@aminacuascut3572 you can buy a very fine wire, it should be not very expensive and the repair will last! Using a thread you will lose your necklace as the thread will disintegrate and the necklace will quietly fall of your neck...🤗
This could be the greatest repair video ever posted on RU-vid, but it's impossible to tell without some voice-over instructions to accompany the visuals. I really couldn't figure out what was going on, so I can't use anything in this video to help me to fix my broken chain. I can't even tell whether the chain in this video is a cabled chain or a ripple type chain that has no interlocking connections like a cable chain. When you're making a "how to" video, I think it's helpful to assume that your viewers know absolutely nothing about the video's topic. Then you have to make it simple enough so that even the most mindless of your viewers gets the message.
@@georgecroney6168 having a brain and valid criticism/advice is simply not being an idiot, clearly a concept you're unfamiliar with. go back to braindead reddit, mouth breathing tard
He's holding the sewn bits in his hand and showing only the good chain! The broken bit is near the clasp, opposite that tiny pendant! Slow the video to 0.75 to see it for yourself, he nods the pendant in his left hand, so the repaid part should be in his right hand, next to the closing mechanism. You never get to see that part of the chain, with the repaired part, as it's in his hand! That's why he wears these silly gloves. You can't see very well what he's doing. It's sad people try to make money this dishonest way!!
You're holding the repaired bit in your fingers, as it was near the clasp!!!!!! Why do you need to do this! It was a nice , temporary fix of a chain and you didn't need to cheat! I watched the end on the slow speed of O.75 and then I could see exactly how you have held the repaired bit in your hand. Am I incorrect?
does anyone know a way a jeweler can fix it i just brought my broken necklace to a jewelery store and my air got caught on it and i want it fixed they said they can't fix it, when they have one of those guys who repairs jewlery?????
It would have helped if there had been someone speaking on this video. The metal thing is used to thread a needle. I have no seen one of them in years. My Mom had one. I don't know if we still have it.
Yes, it's insane to think no one will noticed he's not showing the fixed part, he's holding it in his hand, pretending he's done an invisible mending!!!! I'd never expect it would be an invisible, and would have given him a thumb up, for the idea! He's cheated so many viewers, so a thumb down, definitely!!!
@@ekaterinas.1330i can see at least 3 salty comments left by you - ok its not a perfect solder job, but it hasnt been advertised as such. This is a quick, cheap, temporary fix and i think its great
Yeah, I agree. Definitely CREEPY. First of all, no offense, if you want to wear gloves, try the clear ones. The clear ones, are 100% “non-creepy!” Secondly, please speak out loud.. step by step, as to what you are doing ? I BET you will get TONS OF MORE SUBSCRIBERS!!!! Sorry to be judgemental it’s just that viewers come on here to learn new things. And you could be their TEACHER. Best of Luck, . Ps. I liked what you were doing, but I honestly don’t really know what you used & so forth..? Thanks again...Simply positive reinforcement. 😊 speak about how you
I know! Let me say that my nails were fucked at the time and I am a hairdresser so I had these black gloves. I made this video so long ago. I should make a new one!
Oh shoot I broke my necklace FOR THE 4TH TIME I don't want my parents to be mad at me for wasting their money on repairs....(searches for videos like these)....yeah...I think I would just use duck tape...
