It's a beauty, but once most dealers mark them up 50k over msrp it takes the regular guy out of it.I quit doing all my F150 service business with a dealership that had a Badlands on the floor marked up 35k.
Exactly - we decided to sell our Edge & buy Nissan. We can't justify Ford's pricing doing now BEFORE the dealership even does their markup. I was a loyal Ford customer since the 1980's but not anymore.
I really enjoy your well reasoned commentary on the Bronco. I think it is incredible that Ford can build so much capability into the Bronco Raptor for under $80K. I still wished they had named this one the warthog.
I’ve got a 2021 FE 4 door with a 2.7. I drove over wolf creek pass to Moab spent a couple of days on the trails then back over wolf creek pass and La Veta pass then on to Buena vista for the celebration and back home. My mileage was 18.9 miles per gallon with Premium fuel. IMO that’s amazing!
Probably the most concise and honest review yet, great job! 2 questions, first can you order the leather seats but delete the carpet and stick with the rubberized flooring? And secondly, what is the weight capacity on the spare tire reinforcement accessory bracket? Can it hold a 70lb Pro Eagle Jack? Thanks again for a great job and keep those videos coming!
The msrp is about 70 grand but because of Covid, people are being greedy that vehicle is not worth 135 grand. U can keep it, it’s sad what these dealerships are doing to the ford brand.
I wish they would build a 2 door raptor, and rethink the flares.I’m trying to decide between a badlands or wild track 2door with the hoss package.the raptor definitely has some nice features..
I'm very happy with the disconnecting sway bar in the badlands. I personally do not think the wildtrak is worth it, I would much rather go an everglades. That being said I do greatly enjoy the 2.7 in my badlands.
They do have a aftermarket soft top edition for the 2 door but I actually like the 2 door with the hardtop and just buy a cover for when you want to cruise with top off and not worry about rain
Cool rig Mitchell. I hope my dealer gets one for test drives. For now I will have to be content with my Black Diamond which is supposed to be here by EOM. This is the third delivery change, so we shall see. Thanks and good info.
It's a beauty & truly amazing vehicle! To those complaining bout dealer markups I say find a better dealer! They are out there. Waiting on my new '23 Bronco Raptor now! 💯👍🏻
Great video as always. You have been very helpful in our Bronco Journey. We have a Badlands, 2.7L, Sasquatch, Lux, Modular HD Bumper, Brush Guard in Race Red with Soft Top. Our only regret is that we could not get the hardtop at the time. That is what we need for travel security. We have all the hard to get bits, but need a hardtop. We were lucky, but I ordered in the first week and it still took a year and a half. I know there is one supplier that can do a aftermarket hardtop, but I am surprised that more have not come up with good hardtop options.
Nice to hear that you’re not taking advantage of your customers by charging above MSRP. Wish all dealers had your sense of ethics and appreciation for their customers 👍
They should have a sucker emblem, 150k could buy a full currie 1967 Ford bronco w 460 big block, 5 link suspension, and don't need to remove 17 bolts to use w/o running boards.
Such an awesome beast!! I took delivery of my 22 Bronco Badlands with Lux non Sas about a month ago and mine has the home link on the sun visor. I guess it was a new option they added for the 22 models
These are basically unicorns, mythical creatures, gold at the end of a 🌈. If you think you getting one anywhere close to MSRP. I bet maybe 10 or 20 in the US will get for the actual retail price. The few that do get it for MSRP will basically be so the dealer can say they sold one at MSRP.
It looks super cool... I'm wondering how it will do when the trail is a bit narrow? I was curious if I could put the raptor suspension on my badlands sasquatch?
Love mine. Paid MSRP. Has rear cup holders in the armrest and power seats in the front. Also get 16 mpg on the highway and average 15 mpg. Pretty good considering 37 inch tires and horrible aerodynamics.
@@mrdayyeee Day one reservation holder. Was fortunate that Ford gave me option to switch my order back in March. One of the first built with a VIN under 75. Made sure I got in writing that it was being sold at MSRP from general manager so they couldn’t pull any games. Purchased in NJ dealership.
@@jameswillard1 No squeaks or rattles. Yes a little wind noice at highway speeds but not enough to bother me. 1500 miles and only used regular gas. Generally average 70-75 on the highway. Had a 2019 Colorado ZR2 Bison with 33 inch tires before and gas mileage wasn’t much better.
@@chipott3705 Well played, sir. Search will go on for me, will just have to be quick next time there's something announced that looks good to immediately contact my dealer.
Ford could have put a digital rear view mirror in it like on the newer Jeeps. My 2022 JGC Overland has a digital rear view mirror in it. They use a camera on the back of the vehicle. It has a separate backup camera. I think Audi or Range Rover has them in the newest models.
My dealer was selling Raptor for $500 below MSRP with a 2022 allocation of 10. I could have easily been one of the top 3 on the list but stuck with my Badlands as I was already above what I initially budgeted.
@@mrdayyeee Raptors were assigned by what my dealer refered to as "hand raisers" basically Ford sent us an email that asked if we wanted a Raptor and the dealer then went down their list of orders based on reservation timestamps. They had an allocation of 10 with 7 actually getting ordered. My dealer thought the 3 unclaimed 2022 Raptors would go to their 2023 allocation but were incorrect as they lost them. They have 3 2023 Raptor allocations, all of which are spoken for. I did get my Badlands in July at -$1000 below invoice. It had an MSRP of $57800 and it ended up costing me $52700. The dealer was Stephens Auto Center in West Virginia.
$135,000 for a vehicle that’s only worth $50,000 - $60,000. So no it’s not worth $135,000 ever! Yeah it’s cool but not worth it. Jeeps aren’t worth what they sell for either.
I Agree only black looks good on the Raptors unless they would do body colored fender flares. If Ford ever offers the Raptor in Antimatter Blue with Leather trim seat that would be irresistible !
I have a 2023 Outer Banks, 4-door, V6...I absolutely love it. I haven't hit 300 miles yet. I can't wait till I hit that magical 1000 mile break in!!! But I find it weird that the Raptor doesn't have the temp built in to the dual climate control dials....In mine, they are there!! Our local dealership has a 50k market adjustment on the Raptor....soooo, that is out of the question!!!
The instrument cluster is so much nicer than other Bronco trims. What is confusing is if you check the owner manual, it shows that this version was planned for trims with the 12” display
He keeps talking about the visibility issue. Well, he has two sideview mirrors on either side of the vehicle, which makes it absolutely compliant with all state and federal laws. That window could be completely blacked out as long as he had sideview mirrors just think panel van how does a panel van become approved by the department of transportation? A lot of them don't have rearview windows but they have two side mirrors.
Thank you for your honest reviews. Will you be advising us when “new” orders will begin being taken? We are driving all the way there to buy from you and just want a 2 door base with every few options.
24:00 Regarding the lack of rear visibility... I have a van with no rear windows. Its not hard to get used to. Maybe get full time rear camera if its too much.
Look at you all dressed to impress. The skid plate is a definite eye catcher. Removable step bar - Sweet. If this was a Transformer, what wold you call it? I'm thinking; Flexalator.
What Ford need is to make a descent PHEV version to both F150 and Bronco: driven exclusively by electric motors, leaving the ICE to only recharge the battery. This way they could slash the fuel consumption by several times, as the electric motors are way more efficient: 95% versus 25% of the combustion engine - also, vast amounts of instantaneous torque at low RPM. This also enables the ICE engine to be much smaller and operate at optimum rotation for efficiency and durability, without the need to change the engine RPM. This PHEV implementation also enables to utilize a way smaller battery comparing to a BEV - a fraction of what the Lightning have.
@@pimpmyride7278 - Most definitely because I hope after 22 years of technological, mechanical and engineering advancements PLUS another $80,000 in price a smoother ride is the result, but I still have 22 years of driving with no whiplash.
Thanks for this review. I’m interested in people’s opinion if this is actually worth the price Ford is charging for this vehicle. In Canada it is listed at $120,000.00, which in my opinion is too high. I think since COVID manufacturers are taking advantage of customers. I think this vehicle should be around $90,000.00 CAD.
The review is good, the only thing I find dissapointing is that the guy never mentioned the cameras, the possibility of having the rear camera on all the time to have a better visibility, and the other option of turning the front camera on to do some rock crawling. Other than that, was a good review, I suscribed.
You Say Ford doesn't put speakers in the doors because the removable is not a good excuse . You take the doors off and unplug them anyway adding 2 wires to each door to that plug isn't A big deal. Ford could add 4 more speakers to the Broncos sound sys and just tell you if you take the doors off your Negative 4 speakers.
I have a question for you. I watched one of your videos that mentions your dealer will not charge over MSRP. I am wondering if that is the case for all the Town & Country dealers. I found one near Nashville, and I am planning to head over there some time soon if that's true. Thank you!
The idea that anyone except the rich and insane are going to buy a 100k plus vehicle and beat the piss out of it "off-roading," is preposterous. Premium electronics and premium materials do not mix well offroading.
The way that upper management is making decisions, it wouldn't surprise me if instead of a Raptor R, they'll probably elect to go with a Raptor Mach-e!😳
never happening, and as an owner of a GT350R the Voodoo would be worthless in this kind of vehicle because it lacks low end torque and is made for racing
The road presence of the Bronco Raptor is like nothing I've seen before. Some guy was test driving one while I was driving with my wife in my new badlands......that looked like a baby toy next to his Raptor. We could still see him like a mile back on the freeway. It was messed up 🤣🤣
Either that or like I tell my friend who is about your height that I've got an old pole that my brother used to use for pole vaulting when he did track and field 😂
You should know you don’t need to be able to see out a rear view mirror to be dot approved. A lot of transits don’t have rear windows!!! RV’s don’t have rear windows!!! 18 wheelers don’t have rear windows!!!
I wish the motor was not a v-6, it’s very weak sounding and performing. Love the looks and build but it needs a v-8 like the jeep 392. I have the 392 rubicon as well and it’s such a letdown to drive the raptor after that v-8.
