Bronny James IS an NBA PRO 📈

Gil's Arena believes Bronny James' will be an NBA PRO as Gilbert Arenas, Rasheed Wallace & Gil's Arena Crew react to Bronny's decision to declare for the NBA Draft and debate if it was the right call for the USC guard. Rasheed thinks he should test the waters but the rest of the couch sees Kyrie Irving in the young USC Star and son of Lebron James.
Gil’s Arena premieres every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30am PT / 2:30pm ET.

Yes it would the kid is actually built like a man already like he doesnt have the KD slenderman arms coming into the league like he clearly lifts and trains his body. In hs and even in college he showed he has a jumper, now yes his 3pt% wasnt great at USC but like they said he is coming off a cardiac arrest like bruh nearly died before the season. Thirdly he has shown he can be a perimeter defender and has the physical tools to stay in front of somebody… so at the bare minimum his skill set is that of a 3 and D player now will he be a Paul george or Klay level 3 and D… Probably not but could he be a Max Strus or a caleb martin level player in this league and fairly quickly get to even that level? Without a doubt. Should he be a lottery pick? No… will he? Probably tbh. But this draft is incredibly weak to begin with anyways.

Marvin Williams averaged 7 more points than him and was the 2nd overall pick lol his career was decent but his game didn’t translate very well. At number 2 he could be considered a bust. @@Eastsiderep40Marvin Williams was a bust and a bad pick at number 2 even at the time. That said he was still better than Bronny at this point in his career. He was a key player on national championship team, Bronny was a backup and played pretty bad on a bad USC team. I'm rooting for him but right now he definitely isn't there yet. If a NBA team wants to use a 2nd round pick for him as a raw prospect/project player then I could see that but another year in college would probably be best for his development.

Kyrie was absolutely an all American, he also averaged 17 points and 4 assists shooting 53% from the floor and over 46% from 3, Bronny averaged 4 points shooting like 35% from the floor and like 25% from 3, the comparison and falsehoods are insane

Why not give him a chance: Any kid whose dad spends a million dollars in off-season training is very likely to do the same for his kid in the pros and that alone enhances his skill beyond what NCAA can or ever will invest in an athlete.
@PeteringYT

College teaches fundamentals. In the NBA he will be pressured to perform right away. There is a reason people are asking if he is a pro vs if he is a top draft pick. He isn't ready for the pros and will get exposed. Ben Simmons always busts out these "off season training" vids and how well did that do him?
@tmasst07

If he really feels he is ready, go overseas for 1-2 years. That exp will top anything in college and let you know exactly how ready he is. At worst he will be GLeague superior; at best maybe he goes 2nd round. We are rooting for him but not at the expense of him messing up his chances of creating a real career for himself from this if he can just to play with his Father.

Wallace made the right statement “Prove it”. Fresh off a heart attack, not much was to be expected. If I’m the coach I would honestly fear pushing a kid fresh off a heart attack too hard. So to spend another year in college fresh and healthy wouldn’t be a bad thing at all honestly may help more.

This made me think of Daniel Orton. He was the 29th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. His NBA career did not go well. Orton was a reserve on the 2009-10 Kentucky Wildcats basketball team, where he averaged 3.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks in 13.2 minutes per game.

His biggest problem will either be his diet to keep his heart healthy or its gonna be overcoming the shadow of his father so he can stand on his own feet. He will probably not be even close to his fathers level, but he can definitely prove that he deserves to be in the NBA and more.
