Truth talk, bro! I just got back into skateboarding and it took a minute to realize that, even though there are a lot of great new brands out there, the ones I used to ride are just as good if not better. Spent a bunch of money but also had a lot of fun along the way so it's all good. 🤙🏼
This video was so helpful I was deciding on what kind of bearings to put on my old school skateboard that I'm going to be buying soon and I was deciding on what kind of bearings and I came across your video and I came across a couple of your videos and they're really awesome and I am going to be buying the bearings from Boston sounds awesome very awesome bearings that I've been hearing good things about these bearings and this video was very helpful I'm going to be trying them out soon can't wait to see how they are
same, im coming back to skating and testing all these different bearings ive never had access to when i was younger. Bronsons line is pretty great tbh but again i think its all marketing where bones doesnt rely on much marketing but has been a staple of skateboarding for a long time. tested g3s, raws and on ceramics now
Just got a set of these. Love em. I have raws and love those even more. But these are so buttery smooth. I think once they are broken in the magic will happen. It takes a couple of weeks. You nailed your first run on the Bronson's.

What I found is that with Spitfire cheap shots they are super noisy. The budget ones from mini logo and bones reds we’re fine. I would occasionally get one bearing that just didn’t spin as fast as the others. I agree with the Bronson G twos as those of been great on my daughtersSet up. The best overall result I had was with shake junt OG bearings.
Man, I really love these board set up and gear videos. I was setting up a slappy board today (Black Label Jason Adams No Feelings 9.5) and I came across your old Slappy Hack video when I was searching for wheels. After looking at a few images of wheels online I came across some Alva Conicals. It looks like the shape of the outer wheel would help you ride up the curb. Have you ever tried any conical shaped wheels? I'd like to see a video of you with the Rainskates wheels vs the Alva Conicals (using the same deck and trucks). I'm also curious as to what the softer durometer wheels feel like for slappys. Thanks for all the content. 🤙🏼
i have a set of these and im not impressed. i cant tell much of a difference from cheap ones. i have got to skate that bowl. the closest bowl to me is FDR and i keep getting hurt there because there is nothing but huge vert
My son’s board has Bronson regular bearings and although they’re not super quiet they are Clark Griswold cereal spray fast. You can free spin them for days.
Hey man great channel you got here! I was watching some of your old videos and i am very curious about those gullwing pro 3s you were riding a couple years ago. Ive been riding 8.5 - 9ish boards with 8" trucks for a long time but ive always wanted to try wider trucks and maybe wider boards. Would you recommend the gullwings to start this transition?

Interesting all the brands he named and said high quality are made in China except Bones wheels, all NHS brands comes from china now. Yes Including independent and Bronson. I have been an independent rider since 1982 around 2017-18 i got a new set rode them felt something was different so took them off and realized the made in the usa was gone. That was extremely disappointing. I tried thunders cause they are still made in America infact most if not all deluxe Distribution products are made in America, most of skate still made in America except powell flights and mini logo. Flights their high end decks are china. Its sad to see so many American companies being manufactured in China with lower quality materials. Being made by basically slaves or children. Almost all my favorite brands growing up have stopped being made in America. That is sad. As for independent trucks it would have literally cost use $3 more for a set of trucks if they kept manufacturing in America. I would have been good with that.
Support Chapman wood then, they are one of the few board manufacturers that still makes boards in the U.S. They make boards for Zoo York,Supreme, and a few other brands.

@@Ftol3 no, you might have missed the headlines on the NEW ACE TRUCKS.. all sizes I got 77 I love stock bushings.. these are newly designed. I would buy anything else. 🤙 Ace doesn't pay me or give me anything to say that.

Saw a guy pulling a wheelie down the road today on an enduro moto x bike wondering if you could do that back in the day. As your wanting to wheelie on your bike just wondering if you had that balance point in the past sorted out. I've always been keen to learn longer wheelies too. I have a mountain bike so the gears help. my goal was 100m. Optimistic I know. but I guess with practice you'll get it. What ever happened to that larger box you had in the background of your video. I know it was a bit big to be those bearings. Curious what that was.

I was able to wheelie a yamaha r1.. standing up without a brake.. short wheelies on dirt bikes, never used brakes again. This is the hard part now.. lol
Was going to say the same thing! 47 year old here, swiss 6 are the fastest I've ridden. A faster set up is just like being fitter....sure you can pump your ass off but your session will be shorter!
Ya I have to clean my swiss 6 alot. I use my air compressor to blow em out. Then I put a little oil blow it so it spins and spreads the oil and that's it
