Hope James is watching this somewhere out there and thinking that, even if he's done with creating things for the Internet, he at least made a great impact.
I remember showing my niece "Love us a yummy s'more" when she was a toddler, and all these years later at 7 years old she still requests his videos from time to time.
@@HellaFuckingKawaii Look, I'm not into the fart fetish but who fucking cares if he does. It is called a preference and is meant for people who share the same interest in the fetish. It is only a problem if you are actively searching for it even though you dislike it.
@@Quurze Pretty sure Trials was just sharing what his favorite content was. No need to get mad at him for sharing what he enjoyed. I had no idea Animated James even made that, because I never looked for it.
Quurze he drew art of that fetish with underage characters, not only that but he also had a 16 year old girlfriend while he’s over 18 years old, there’s proof about it on a video
It is like a trip down memory lane (and now hours looking through old pony vids). Got to admit, the little bounce you give the characters in the polka really brings the animation to life!
I noticed a homage that wasn't mentioned, at 6:22 You animated them doing the sunshine sunshine dance. It should be acknowledged because it is cute (despite the overtones of the song)
since it was from a reference to FiW this actually would be the “i will destroy you and steal your fiance, booty booty booty booty rocking everywhere!” dance lol
After watching this comparison video I noticed that Viva really masterfully captured the essence of the original songs, sometimes better than the original animations while keeping the bouncy and frantic pace. Especially in "I am Octavia." Dude's a genius I swear.
Thanks, Viva. It's really neat how many references you were able to incorporate into this. Looking forward to seeing you in the Bronies React for The Last Problem!
Viva, the sheer amount of work you put into this is amazing. I didn't even manage to catch every single reference my first time around. I'm so glad that you took the time to do all of this. Your animation compliments the song beautifully and it's that perfect bow on top for the fandom at large. You did a wonderful job with all of this and this is easily my favorite MLP fandom tribute, even further, favorite fandom tribute I've ever seen. Thank you so much for this.
Everything. Everything. Everything here just... Gives me so many shivers. This fandom pulled me out of a lot of tough moments and gave me ways to push out creativity ages ago. This is a perfect thing to see... Edit: Over and over. Each new wave of emotions sends shocks down my spine and arms. Thank you so much for this.
3:55 this is my favorite part When you're flying there in the sky Rising High, every hue it's like a dream out of this world into a new when you're soaring up there in the sky spread your wings and you'll see you're a Cirrus swirling shimmering down below and you'll recognize the glow of the double
“Rainbows tale as isn’t quite as nice as the story we knew of sugar and spice but a rainbows easy once you get to know it with the help of the Pegasus device!”
The amount of creative effort you put into this was amazing! You could've just drawn them as seen in the videos, but no, you extrapolated from them and even added more to it! This may as well be a farewell tribute to the Brony fandom, but this is by far the greatest farewell tribute it'll get. Great work as always.
This video shows the amount of pure effort you put into this as a love letter to the fandom. Like that small reference for Smile HD in the Swing Tavi Swing part! Outstanding Job!
Every time i watch this, this is 4 years, 4 years of the craziest people i have ever met, and yet its something i wouldnt trade for anything. Once again thank you for making a PMV for this song
Welp, this actually brought a tear to my eyes, the memories, it's been 6-7 years since I first got into the mlp community, which I've not really been active in after getting into the furry community, but damn there are so many good memories
This was one of those things that made me so happy that I can't really describe how much I love it. The amount of work you put into this was amazing and all I can say is.... thank you.
I've never seen MLP, but I found the tribute on my recommended and I liked it because I could see there was a lot of work in it. So thank you for the explanations.
I recognized a vast majority of these references since I'm practically an old man in the brony fandom lol, been here since 2012, and I can't get over how seamless this entire animation is. It's so cool to see everything side by side where I was imagining all these things while watching the animation. Amazing. Kudos to you for your hard work!
i dont think its been said enough, but the transition from double rainbow to rainbow factory is fucking phenomenal and the fact that in the double rainbow you perfectly SYCNED IT UP to the beat is so good, it made me wanna shed a tear to how good it really is
When you're right with devastation, there's a simple explanation! You're a toy maker's creation trapped inside a crystal ball! And whichever way he tilts it, know that we must be resilient! We won't let them break our spirits as we sing our silly song!
When i was a little filly a galloping blaze overtook my city So they shipped me off to the orphanage, said; "ditch those roots if you wanna fit in!" So I dug one thousands holes and cut a rug with orphan foals Now; memories are blurred and their faces are obscured but I still know the words to this song!
@@stopreplyingtomycomments7954 when you’ve bungled all your bangles and your loved ones have been mangled, listen to the “jingle jangle” of my g*psy tambourine!
Well this has been one massive trip down memory lane for me. I fell out of the brony fandom a while ago, but the fact I recognized and could vividly remember nearly every single thing referenced here, damn near brought a tear to my eye from nostalgia alone.
On the I am octavia part just know viva pays so much attention that she is using the bow right. Your supposed to do like a door movement and that is what she does, omg it’s awesome
There's quite a few videos in the reference list that I haven't seen, despite being here long enough to remember everyone being hyped by the season 2 announcement which came with a Luna announcement (I also remember how everyone was INCREDIBLY salty about Cadence even existing being announced the week after Luna Eclipsed, and the outrage that Cadence already had show accurate merch, despite everyone already waiting a long time for show accurate Luna merch) So yeah. That's a lot of PMV 's that I haven't seen over the years.
pretty sure in nightmare nights part, its also referencing celestia being deep, except as nightmare moon x'D but man this is just a trip down memory lane from all the cool music that came out. also holy cow you put a lot of effort into finding and speeding up clips to di this comparison. amazing job ovo
What kind of cruel God made all the catchiest melodies into MLP fan songs so that middle school me would sing them for an audience of 800 at my school’s showcase
This was my favorite thing about last decade 🥰✨ how this simple show brought those out of their shells and become comfortable in their own skin to be around those who share the same interest
First, there was Katy Perry's Last Friday Night. Then BebopVox made a Minecraft parody Don't Mine At Night. Then Jan Animation made an MLP parody Don't Mine At Night, an animatic. Then Jan Animation made a proper animation for his song. (A whole bunch of other songs, some of which are also derivatives, get made.) (A whole bunch of music videos based on the aforementioned songs get made.) Then AnimatedJames produced Brony Polka, which included (with a *sigh*) Don't Mine At Night. Then Viva made a trailer for his animation for Brony Polka. Finally, Viva released the full animation. And in that animation, at the very end, you can hear "Don't mine at night", sung to the melody originally composed by (someone working for) Katy Perry. This rabbit hole is a masterpiece in its own right. Derivative works rule!
