Practice Larnie! Look they more abundant this time of year and if you cast in the surf zone amongst the rocks and reefs, you bound to hook one. Remember to watch the tides. Pushing tide or outgoing. They more active 1st light and last light. Spring tide is when we have best results. Thanks Ikes and Tightlines
That's a lovely session you guys had Kent well done👍🎣 you very right about fishing, when the pressures or work/ life hit go fishing to de-stress, good to see Derick back in action 🇿🇦👍🎣🎣🎣
Agree 100000000% my dad taught me that. He took me one day to the beach we sat on the bench across from Addington hospital and jut watched the waves roll on. Sjoe I miss him so much 😭
Well done Manne. Brilliant session and everyone got in on the action. I can't wait for mid October. God willing. Save some bronzzies for me. First time in 7 years. Gooi mielies Manne. Looking forward in meeting the team. Blessings 😊
Really had a lot of fun out there yesterday. Awesome when the fish are hungry. Was hoping to get one of those galjoen that have been about but I’ll settle for my catches. Until the next one, tight lines larnies.
@@bevangodden8006 that was my 13” Bluefish special paired with my Daiwa BG 5000. Great setup. Unfortunately drag seems to have stripped during this outing. Reel is over 3 years old though.
Hwzit Kent and crew, well done on yet another epic video...... beautiful bronzes there...... Darren.....if you're looking for the galjoen..... try using a crayfish tail amongst the rocks.....look for white working water. Loving your videos Kent.....😉👌
Howzit, ya we had a great time with the Bronzies! Will take your advice on the Galjoen bait, Darren and I have been talking about possibly Munster or Palm Beach to target them. Thanks for the support and take care
Another banger of a video. Welcome back Derrick and Darren. I cannot wait to come down to kzn SC this weekend. I really need some salt intake. Tight lines Larnies
Hi Khaliq, thanks for the compliment. Look it’s very difficult to explain how to get to the spot but if you head to Trafalgar main beach it’s 5 Kms North from there. Trafalgar main beach is still one of my favourite places to fish for Bronze Bream. Give it a shot. Thanks and take care
Hi Ebie thanks 🤙 would you mind posting that question on my Facebook group facebook.com/groups/kentsfishing/?ref=share so they guys from that area can comment as I don’t know and someone on the group might know. Thanks
Mohammed don’t give up. Keep fishing and once you understand the feeding times and habitat of these fish you will catch. Bronze Bream feed, 1st light and last light. Watch the tides. They come on the bite pushing tide and outgoing tide. They also very active this time of year. We find that we most successful on Spring tide. Hope it helps and you get some! Tightlines
Kent when are you going to get a tag kit so that you can use this platform to promote ORI’s tag and release program in the interests of conservation and sustainable sport fishing. Even if it’s within regulation there is no joy in seeing fish killed .
Hi John, think you might have missed a few videos. I have a kit from ORI and I have been tagging fish and I have been promoting ORI and the tag and release program. This day we fished to take fish home. Thanks
Hi Kent. Awesome video as usual. Glad to see Derick again. I am from Cape Town. How do I get my hands on one of the measuring mats? Can I order from somewhere?
Hi Wessel, thanks for watching and supporting. Glad you enjoying my videos. Luckys Manaba have been in discussions about distribution to Cape Town. You’re most welcome to WhatsApp them for more details. (061) 490-2443
Any tips on catching bronze bream just caught my first cracker weight in at 4kg on a size 6 mustad and a prawn tail as bait actually targeting bronzies but just haven't had the luck in catching a bronze one
Hi Kylan, if you’re catching Cracker then you’re fishing in the right spot and tide for Bronze Bream because they share the same habitat. Continue what you’re doing and I’m sure you will catch Bronzies. Well done on your Cracker catch and Tightlines
Genuine Fishing...I feel for Darren though..for not catching his second Bronzy...Guys I need some clarity ...if I catch my two bronzies but in the interim caught another one like Kent did...can I give it to someone else on the beach who's trying hard ...provided that someone has a valid license...Just curious guys
Yes absolutely. Law specifies bag limit per person per day in Your possession. So let’s say you catch 2 Bronzies today another 2 tomorrow but you keep all 4 in your freezer at home. That’s not permitted because you have 4 in your possession. There’s no harm in catching fish and giving it to you fellow angler that has a permit. If I caught 4 and Darren caught none, there would be no issue giving him 2 to take home. Hope that helps thanks Ivan
How's it guys that was nice to see some good fish coming out and a great video too . Can't wait for more well done guys 👍👌 Derrick nice to see you back.
Listen guys... keep some fish and enjoy it. Recreational fisherman are not the cause of over fishing. Everytime you buy fish you supporting the pillaging of the ocean by the factory fishing ships. At least 10 fish are wasted so you can enjoy that one fish at Ocean basket etc. Millions upon millions of tons of by catch wasted every year so you can buy some fish and chips. Stop virtue signalling so you can look good on you tube coz the same ous saying put your fish back are the same ous buying fish from the shop. Respect the limits and enjoy what you catch. Well done Derrick you deserve your blessings CONSERVATION STARTS WITH YOU.... STOP BUYING FISH TO EAT....
If only it were that simple. This conversation would need a much more in depth approach to this subject. I’m just going to say, what you see me do on my Channel is what I do off camera and that is Promote responsible and sustainable fishing. Educating viewers. There are very different views on this subject and I know a lot of people do not support the wasting, over fishing and no regard for the Ocean by the many Retail giants , Chains, Restaurants etc. The problem is they don’t have an alternative but to buy their Omega 3 from the above mentioned because not all can go fishing for they dietary requirements.
