Let's put this into perspective, Samoa came into the London Sevens ravaged by injuries, they had to fly in four new players from all parts of the globe and to make things worse, they lost their two halfbacks. With the pressure of Olympic qualification, they came oh so close to getting that automatic spot which eventually went to Australia. But to bounce back from the disappointment of losing narrowly to Argentina in the cup semis and beating series winner New Zealand in the bronze medal game in the way they did in the final minute, i couldn't be prouder. Great finish to the series and we'll see them back for the Oceania Sevens for another crack at qualifying for Paris Olympics 2024. Congrats also to Va'a Apelu Maliko for taking out the series top tryscorer (50) and Impact Player of the Series, well deserved. Should be World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year.
Critics went high and harsh last week from the Samoa sevens fans I was disappointed as well. But this week although you didn’t get what you were hoping for, you proved that there is a lot of potential and enormous energy still sustaining and in an undying hopes that some years to come will be unleashed and you will do it again as you did in the 2010. Then he gestured at the players for 4 seconds then bounced the ball a FURTHER 6 TIMES before pausing again. DONG. Times up. You snooze, you lose. Interestingly the French kicker also took 34 seconds to take the conversion directly in front of the posts for their first try and 40 seconds to take the 2nd conversion (which was missed).
The fact that New Zealand have Fijian Samoan Māorian and a few palangis on there team is crazy against and injured riddle Samoan side I counted 5 new players on that squad all Samoan based player to beat the best is the best feeling man hats off to the all blacks sevens they are still the benchmark

Carter be a sportsman, why push that Samoan player after the last try was scored. You can't always expect to win. That is a sheer sign of frustration. Remember, small Island Nations can be preety difficult to handle at times. Congratulations to the Great Samoan Team.

New Zealand players have been frequently coming out of the rucks and tackles standing deliberately on the wrong side or between rucks and the halfback either to dustrupt or delay play.
Unfortunately the linesmen didn't spot Collier being held back by the Samoan player from making a tackle on that last try............so it goes. Well done Samoa.
Samoa learned that from the NZ team as often time they deliberately tackle players around the ruck to take them off defending. Great game though. Samoa deserve to be in the final
#15 for Samoa actively trips #5 of New Zealand @ 17:30 clear as day and neither official catches it; penalty to NZ and they probably win...matches at this level shouldn't be decided on a missed penalty on the pitch.
