Awesome video again Cedar and flow team. All awesome information. Our hives are all doing well, although the hybrid has been a little slow this season. Hopefully it will pick up soon. Thanks again TrickyTrev 👍🐝🍯
I am looking for a breakdown on how to render the old wax. In previous videos you have showed rotating the old frames of brood to the exterior and then pulling the frames. What I would like to see is the next part of the process of getting the wax. Maybe next rainy day video? If it's not Cedar's thing I am sure you have a subject matter export who is into that part of bee keeping. Looking forward to ordering my second flowhive next month.
Good morning Cedar and Tracey. John from Lismore. Does the waggle dance in the flow super have the same meaning as the waggle dance in the brood box. Love those side windows 😊
And your Lord inspired the bees: “Make ˹your˺ homes in the mountains, the trees, and in what people construct, and feed from ˹the flower of˺ any fruit ˹you please˺ and follow the ways your Lord has made easy for you.” From their bellies comes forth liquid of varying colours, in which there is healing for people. Surely in this is a sign for those who reflect. َQuran, Surah 16, Verses 68, 69
Hi from Guernsey is it possible to stack another super on top of each other. Also how’s best to keep them pinned down in a field when it’s windy. As I’d like to get the groundwork’s all ready in place for the elements here. Would it be possible to fit the flow hive by nestling it in a sloe tree hedge or plant a whole new holly hedge around them for protection. Many thanks👍🇬🇬
Yes it is, however it requires a strong colony, and usually colonies wont work on multiple boxes at the same time, instead it maximises the storage of your hive. You want to ensure your bees are in a dry sunny location, if you were to plant around them make sure there is enough space, your best option for high winds would be strapping the hives down to the ground. -Kieran
Hey flow team, a small suggestion with these videos when your streaming, when your filming maybe have someone listening to the audio of the stream, just because the audio cut out a few times and went static a few times as well. I don’t want to sound rude at all I’m just trying to make a small suggestion in the future so you can possibly fix the audio mid stream!!
Thanks for the feedback :) we do have someone listening, unfortunately our internet has been a bit touchy lately hence the interruptions. Thanks for bearing with us!
