Brooder Stove Restoration 

Just a Quick video of restoring and firing and old brooder stove I found at an antique store. Started on a wood fire then added Anthracite coal.
A Brooder stove was a stove used in places like chicken coupes to keep the chicks warm during the winter times in the colder climates. This one at one point had a Thermostat that would open a close an air vent to regulate the temperature so the chicks didn't cook. It also had a large dome that would cover the top to assist in radiating the heat outward.
