Kinda forgot, for a couple years Lopez was arguably the most skilled scoring center in the league, it wasn't a great time for centers but still feels like a long time since he was a guy you wouldn't be surprised if he dropped 30.
Great performance by Bobby Portis in his first playoff start. I always love seeing my former Razorbacks shine on the next level. Not to mention the fact that Bobby is from Little Rock as well, and earned McDonald's and Parade All-American status playing at Hall High School, which is actually in my neighborhood. That gym used to get LIT during his time there, loud AF, and you could hear it from blocks away. Definitely awesome to see him continue to be successful, and he'll always have love from the 501.
Lopez got 33 because giannis wasn't in the paint the whole game If giannis could develop a mid range jumper and brook could be in the paint The bucks would be unstoppable A playmaking pg with amazing defense An elite scoring sg A solid bobby portis and pj tucker rotation The best pf in the nba And a dominant center
@@sinisterminds2559 A 32% mid range shot isnt that good and im not talking about those fade away in the paint shots he needs to start making these 16 feet shots so there is proper spacing
Bud only has 2 plays, he would either Spread out the floor for Giannis to attack the rim, or do the Pick and Roll between Giannis and Khris, and if either of those two hasn't work they would bail it out to their shooters.
Nah Bobby always plays like tonight, he just got the minutes he deserves. But Brook is definitely misused under Bud. I have seen so many situations in which Brook had someone 50lb lighter than him on him and Bud just doesnt care.
Even before Giannis, the Bucks were nasty in my opinion. I'm from Portland and support the Blazers and every single time we'd play the Bucks we would just get SMACKED. I never understood how. Happy to see them doing well, though.
Strangely enough, the Lopez play that got me the most hyped was that defensive sequence at 0:35. Guards a much smaller, quicker player on the perimeter, hustles, gets the steal which leads to the Portis dunk. I’m glad the video contained the whole possession because those types of things are sometimes forgotten and we’d only get the dunk.
Gotta respect how both the Hawks and Bucks are dishing out crippling blows to each other without their main stars. NBA might be pissed that their normal headliner teams aren’t in it, but as someone who never watches the NBA, this has been a really fun series to watch. (Bandwagoner) Bucks fan, but hats off to ATL!
i always wantet them to have brook work in the paint when giannis is on the bench or just in gemeral we forget he was one of the best post players for a while even though there were not many good ones
This is how basketball should be played, not because your star had a good game. I hope basketball becomes a team affair again moving forward. Suns are showing that it can be done.
Yaw forget how Brook Lopez can score. Used to average 20 points plus with the Nets his all star year. He can shoot, post up, fade away. Hooks. I hope they use him, happy for him. (Ima Nets fan) I remember he was neck and neck with Derrick rose for rookie of the year. With that being said, they beat us, so GO HAWKS! And also with that being said, I hope the Suns win so Chris Paul can get a ring 🤣🤣
Honestly I used to hate Bobby Portis. I thought the dude was a straight punk after that Mirotic incident. He's done a fantastic job recuperating his image as a hardworking humble dude and hes grown on me.
Shows how ppl just judge others and don't even know the whole story. Mirotic is the one who charged him. The only reason he was the one who was let go is because Mirotic was the better player. Stop believing everything the media feeds you Charlie
@@Foxcoonjr fact is Bobby threw a punch and broke the man's face. You dont need a media narrative to see that as a fact. Bobby acknowledged his own screwup and worked his ass off to erase the negative perception towards him so hats off to him for that.
@@charlielan9287 of course he did. But if the real story had came out before hand then ppl wouldn't have painted him as a bad guy in the first place. He was just protecting himself which everyone on this planet has the right to do. But the media just made it look like the guy just knocked someone out for no reason. He shouldn't have to recuperate from anything because he did nothing wrong. They had dispute and handled it like grown men. But this is what the media does. One sided depending on which show you watch. But yes he has moved on from that and has found a role with the Bucks.
@@Foxcoonjr nobody "painted him as the bad guy". Everything that was reported was based on facts, including the jawing back and forth leading to Miro charging him. Did he act in self-defense? Absolutely. But to say he "did nothing wrong" is utter rubbish and shows your own bias in this situation. Fact remains that he punched a teammate and caused a severe injury, which isnt exactly an everyday occurence in practice scuffles between teammates. He himself acknowledged what he did was wrong and apologized to Miro and the team and worked hard to move on from that situation. Your claim that the media created some sort of anti-Portis campaign was utterly false.
@@charlielan9287 I stand by what I say. He did nothing wrong. Somebody charges me I'm going to defend myself. Charge a police officer just because y'all are having disagreement and see how that works out for you. Body bag! But you're entitled to your your opinion and I have mine. So we will leave it at that. Good day
Fun Fact: The Suns have only played teams with an injured star player. With the Lakers it was AD, for the Nuggets it was Jamal Murray, for the Clips it was Kawhi, and now the Bucks with and injured Giannis.
I Giannis fan from Greece 🇬🇷 but what I saw the other night change a little bit my mind 4 players got 💯 points playing the way that the Bucks should a long time ago!!! Yes sir
Who else thinks when ever giannis comes back they should let the pg aka holiday facilitate well giannis and lopez in the paint or kicking it back out they would secure the paint????
Ok I can't lie I did really fa get that Brook Lopez was the coldest one of the brother's Even in college joe. Bucks need to play thru him if they think they gone beat them sun's 🌞😎
This is no surprise. The Only reason Lopez doesnt get into the post moves as much is because Giannis needs the paint to be open. This makes him have to spread the floor.
Mikwakee is a cool team, any given night one of their players has ability to turn on his prime. If Middleton is not in his prime version, there is always a chance Holiday or Lopez or even Portis turn on their prime versions.
I think Bud should consider stop lettinf Giannis handle the ball and let him be off ball. Hes so talented that he can still socre off of rolling and cutting. Let Lopez dominate the paint more cuz his massive height advantage is showing
@@sapphire2034 I believe the Finals will on the same day regardless whether it ends in 6 or 7. That means it's better for them to end it in 6. I think it starts on Thursday, July 8.
