yes! I have a couple of degrees but the one thing I learned from University is that the dumbest people I have ever met were at University. A lot of university students just work like machines on one task very well and they can not think for themselves, they require others to think for them and tell them what to do. Degrees and the University system just proves to employers that you can complete challenging tasks that you are set and instructed, highly-effectively.

In my opinion, she didn't try hard enough. To me, her offer didn't ring true. Although she offered more than once, there was no conviction in her voice. This was my read, but it's just my opinion. If she would have insisted on it, it would have made it obvious that the date didn't go well, and she very clearly stated that he was nice and didn't want to hurt his feelings. Asking multiple times without insisting was obviously her way of safeguarding his feelings: "Wanna just go halves? "No it's alright" "You sure?" "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah" "We can just go halves" "No, it's fine" She circled back to that offer 3 times. That's a lot, and even just the way she offered, you can tell that she wanted to pay. People are roasting her in the comments, but honestly, she deserves way more credit. She's obviously very kind hearted and sweet, as she acknowledged all that was good about Brock in spite of not being attracted to him, and when the bill came, she tried her best to not to take advantage. That's a good woman. This is just how I was reading it though.

Well, she did offer three times to pay her half of the check, but he was persistent about paying 100% of it. Grant it, she could have just gone to the waiter herself or another employee and asked for the bill to be divided and had her cash, app, check or card actively ready. Maybe she didn’t want to hurt his pride because she could sense that he was really interested, although she clearly wasn’t. Before even seeing her notice the waiter, I could tell at the bar that she was not interested in Brock. Going through with the date was leading him on, and her giving her number to the waiter while on a date was downright disrespectful to Brock. Brooke’s karma will come!

She wasn't shopping around. Shopping is like if she was initially attracted to Brock, then saw the waiter and decided to trade up. That's not what this was. She was immediately attracted to the waiter, and she simply wasn't attracted to Brock right off the bat. That's not shopping. In fact, she said nothing but nice things about Brock the entire time, in spite of her non-attraction towards him, and when she left the waiter her number, she did it in a way that wouldn't hurt Brocks feelings. She even offered 3 times to go half on the bill. People are dogpiling this girl in the comments, but in all honesty, she seems like a good woman to me.
