THE BROOKLYN UNITED EVOLUTION DRUMLINE combines the musical talents of a group of 12-20 school-age percussionists in grades 5-12. The Evolution Drumline trains to learn more advanced musical skills, including cadence-skills the members put to work in a variety of well-rehearsed routines and venues. To participate in the Evolution Drumline, members must demonstrate both good grades in school and a willingness and discipline to learn outside of school. In addition to learning drumline skills, they learn leadership skills and gain confidence-key ingredients to succeed during performances and competitions where they take to the floor to showcase their drumline music and street beat talents.
