Strong. Confident. Precise. Powerful. Skillful. Controlled. Belting! Great key change. My wife said "a wee powerhouse" and so she is (Brooklynne, not my wife - although.............) Such a shame that Brooklynne has to go home. I would have liked to see more. Oh well.
***** While i do like kevin, i didnt think he did super well here. His falsetto was weird and his higher register seems to thin out alot. He's still in my top 3, it just wasn't his night
+Mymusicisinme Kevin still hasn't done anything to top Chandelier, while most other artists are improving by the week. I actually even prefer his part in Spotlight to Wings.
+periurban This team was STACKED. Paloma's team was top-heavy as she takes three powerful women to the lives but Ricky's team was six-deep. Maybe it's my taste in music but Brooklynne wouldn't even make the cut even if I picked five or six to advance.
+norahsz If only coaches can still do a Steal in KOs like in The Voice US, I think Brooklynne would definitely have been stolen, ideally by Will whose team atm is atrocious.
+norahsz I suppose I like Theo and Eli and even Lydia to an extent (two of which aren't even Will's originally ... regardless these three better get through), but everyone else just lacks that artistic maturity ... Lyrickal is a vocal technique show-off whose performances lack emotion, Charley is a bit messy with her transitions between singing, rapping and violin-playing (there's always a tinge of awkwardness) while Faheem, Colleen and Lauren have forgettable tones and stage presences. He should have turned for Kerry, that was sheer idiocy and U.S. judges would have swooped her up as quickly as they could.
armyofshadows I also like Theo and Eli but my prediction is that he's gonna put through Lydia and Charley because of the rapping and just overall quirkiness, they're exactly like the kind of people he likes. I usually don't agree with his decisions but let's hope he proves me wrong this time. I'd love to see Eli in the lives.
+armyofshadows totally agree with every word of your comment, putting Lydia and his two steals trough is the only way Will can have, at least, a decent team in the Live Shows
iluvsoulmusic For example, Christina Marie could do both (Sing and be creative). In the next season we will be another good powerfull soul/R&B singer, but common.
it's shame that in the voice UK there's no 'steal' in this round like in US version,,because on this round many good singer with good performance gone just like Brooklynne, her performance absolutely one of the best but I think Ricky already obsess with Jolan or Kevin and with Chloe shocking performance, there's no left place for Brooklynne,,just hope for the best on her career,
IMHO the best performance of the evening. I do not know what was Paloma thinking! I can only hope that Brooklynne will not be discouraged by Paloma's decision because I see that she (Brooklynne) is already loved by many people.
They need a top16 on this show. Way too many improving artists like Brooklynne need the chance to perform again. On the flipside some contestants went downhill fast.
Oh come on, Brooklynne have just made her best performance and was the best of the night along with Jolan she definitely should have gone through! I would definitely choose her instead of Chloe!
Ricky chose the right though it's a shame he couldn't have four As for Paloma she got two out of three totally wrong Heather was boring And the old soul take a seat honey Only one with talent was the lady on the piano keyboard thingy she had energy you could feel it
It was ok..she's not too familiar with the song obviously or she would've done more soul singing....listen to Aretha's original version..then Blues Brothers scene.
Agree, but how old is she? Actually I felt kinda embarrassed. Poor thing I don't think she understands what the song is about. I don't think I've seen any female of any race dance like that to this song. She definitely was not feeling this song. If you don't have the soul within don't try.
