Love the Ghost series. Picked up my 15s on Amazon. Disclosure: I have plantar fasciitis, high arches & a pricey set of custom orthotic inserts from my podiatrist. I use these shoes for running, power-walking & my daily driver. Incredibly comfortable, supportive and durable. These shoes are responsible for getting my 64 yr old body "back in the game". 🏃♂
Thanks for the comprehensive review! Great. I had the 14's, and they were fine, though unremarkable IMO. Now got the Glycerin 20s and they are surprisingly more versatile yet offer better support. All the best to you!
I've been running and working in Brooks Ghosts for years and have just gotten the 15. They are the first Ghosts that had made my feet hurt after a day at work. The design is much more narrow than previous models and the shoe doesn't feel very cushioned. The sweet spot was the 13. The 13 are my best shoes for running, but my two pair are mostly worn out. For the first time in 5 years, I'm looking into other options. I wish they still made the 13.
I have always been an UA guy for shoes as they have been pretty cheap. My GF swore by these and I slipped my foot in and I was sold. The price is steep at $140 at Dicks Sporting Goods. Over double the price I used to pay on my UA shoes but I have been liking them. They are like walking on a cloud. The most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. If only they made cleats I could play paintball in.
This is going to be my first legit running shoe. Hopefully I made the right choice. I have my second marathon in September after getting my first ever done in May.
I will be starting medical rotations soon and would like to find a good shoe to spend large amounts standing in. Would you recommend the Ghost 15 or the Adrenaline GTS 22 for that? My feet do pronate, but I do not run that much. The color options look much nicer on the new Ghost than GTS - do you feel the guiderails are worth it for a casual run? Thanks in advance and great video!
