yes! You are better than any science teacher I had in school! You explained and demonstrated it so simply. After 11 nights of sleeping on the couch healing from my TKR, last night the throw came unplugged. I was able to reconnect it.....but, it never heated back up! Brrr in the morning. But, now I'm again wrapped in a hug or warm :-) Thank you!
Thanks for the comment. This is one of my most viewed videos. Lots of people have trouble with the design of this thing. I shudder to think how many have tossed their throw because they didn't follow the right sequence.
We have two of these blankets. One appeared to have failed (yes tried to reconnect with correct sequence). Tried the blanket with the chord from the second blanket and now neither work. Don't know what happened but am disappointed. These are nice blankets.
Mine has the small light on the block flashing and it does not seem to be heating even after unplugging it in the proper order. what could cause this? thanks!
Beyond just plugging it in and turning it on in the right order, I haven't had a lot of luck finding what causes the flashing light (fault) in otherwise newish unabused heating pads. Sorry.
I got mine for Christmas I washed it while looking at the instructions it worked when I fell asleep but when I woke up the control button was blue and won’t turn on at all
I bought one of these throws and it worked for a couple of minutes so I thought it might've just been a dud so I purchased another one and it didn't even last a month!
Sorry to hear that. I guess I can't speak to the overall quality of the item. I am just sharing what I learned while trying to help someone who couldn't get theirs to work.
From the manual: If the throw has not been properly connected, the light will be blinking. If the indicator light on the controller is flashing, turn the controller off. Unplug from wall outlet. Unplug from connector. Wait 30 seconds and reconnect making sure arrows are properly aligned. Now plug into 110-120 volt wall outlet.
I watched your video for the blanket. Got this blanket for Christmas, and it will not come on. I did as you suggested. I pressed the button, but nothing happened. So I pressed several more times. On one press, it came on. However, I was still pressing at the time and missed it. 😢 I repeated the steps again, and nothing happened. I don't want to tell the person who gave it to me that it doesn't work. Can you help? me?
