How refreshing brother to find a channel where the user is just a man who loves knives that he buys himself to use. I've been getting very dismayed by all the other channels out there that are no more than adverts for companies that give them free gear. Thank you so much. Very kind regards, Cliff.
The 1508 is a very fine looking knife. I may have to pull the trigger on one. I would not be surprised to see that VG-10 having better edge retention than those Italian M390 knives.
It’s standard twill weave carbon fiber but since it’s contoured it has that beautiful figure 8 pattern. My bench made bugout in s90v has the same cf look
A few days ago I was eating lunch with a friend at a local park. Was using my favorite knife to slice an apple. A lady nearby had a heart attack. We rushed to her aid until EMTs arrived. After I got home I realized I had left everything at the park. Alas my case swayback Jack is a goner. I hate it when I do that. It’s back to my trusty Barlow.
The blade can be depressed enough to cut your lanyard off, and the half-stop is so severe, it will cause more cuts than prevent if you close palms down. On my 1508 Bone anyway. Some work on the tang and shortening the blade by a couple of mm has solved the problems. Funnily enough reprofiling the blade also made the whole exposed blade length to come under 76.2mm. Which is handy when talking to someone in blue not completely au fait with the law. I'd agree it is really well built, and I should love it as it's right up my street. But I've found it soulless, that is, there's not enough evidence that a human directly worked on it. I suppose if you're under a certain age and used to perfection as a standard, then you certainly won't notice. I suppose in short, it's lovely to look at, but I never pick it up.
