Incidentally, the non-slave owning William Shriver had 4 sons join the Confederate army. He is the great, great grandfather of Maria Shriver (of Shriver/Kennedy fame) who married Arnold Schwarzenger. One of his Confederate sons, Thomas Herbert Shriver, is the great grandfather of Maria Shriver (of Shriver/Kennedy family fame) who married Arnold Schwarzenegger. Thanks, I've been there several times. There are multiple historical markers in different states that speak of the slave owners supporting the north and the non-slave owners (and abolitionists) supporting the Confederacy. btw. I just visited the National Museum of Civil War Medicine 2 weeks ago in Frederick, MD. I came to tour the museum again and buy some merchandise buy I only like the previous, older logo. I wear the museum's hat with the original logo everywhere I go (and was looking to buy replacements), but don't like the new logo at all. Bring back the previous logo!
