This album came into my life at the right time. 3 years into recovery have me reflecting on all aspects of life and the pressure with keeping the consistency of remaining clean and sòber or to throw it all away and go back to killing myself with chemicals but this album has definitely done a ser vice to keep me on the road I'm on...the negative thoughts are really just fleeting ones and I'll remain to let them flee from me. Bless all of you who read this!

Our teachers tell us that the only goal of the ego is to be centerstage. The ego would prefer to be celebrated, but if that’s not an option, it’ll settle for self deprecation. As long as the focus is ME!
Additionally, there’s a distinction to be made between genuine self reflection and accountability on one hand, and performative self deprecation on the other. The knowers tell the difference is by looking at the effect on our direction. Genuine self accountability, self correction leads to positive corrective refinement and motion. Performative Self deprecation usually leaves us sitting still in whatever problem we’re having. We trick ourselves into thinking that“feeling bad about it.“ is an adequate response on its own
Ya people would annoy me when they would complain about life when i was growing up. Now I'm all grown up and find myself in their shoes, doing the exact same thing. No wonder I have no friends, or family, and a wife who hates me. Dang I'm all wrapped up in selfishness. Time to CHANGE!

Gets better every time I listen to it, " is this really about growing and healing or are we just getting even", you can relate this to many things but I think of the american political system and how they just do the same things to each other back and forth and nothing gets solved. Of course its social media too with pick your subject.

Love brother ali, he is one of my favorite rappers ever. But the vocals feel too low on this whole album. Its hard to hear them. I wonder if it would be possible to raise them on the streaming versions of tracks. I have seen other artists update trackers.

I'm concerned and disappointed with the atheist line. I've got immense respect for all religions and people that practice them but I always feel like I mention my lack of faith and it is some kind of affront to the people I tell. Then again, I was raised in a very Christian family in a Christian town, so the discrimination was heavy when I came out. I know I'm rambling, but still, it saddens me to see an anti-atheist line from an artist I respect so much

What did I say that reads as anti atheist to you? Please quote the lyrics as you’ve heard them and let me know what feels anti atheist?

@@BrotherAli_Travelers Not the OP, but my guess is the way he heard the line "atheists build their hellfire" was that by not believing in God, they're on a path to hell. I don't think that's what you meant but I heard it that way at first too and then I thought about the lyrics in context. I think that perhaps what you meant was to call out the hypocrisy in some atheists who don't like the idea of damnation, but don't see a problem in constructing a sort of hell for people they disapprove of. Just as you're calling out the hypocrisy in anarchists who don't see an issue in consolidating mob power to go after people they dislike in the next line.
