@@Mike_unhinged Yeah the episode makes it really hard to tell. But during it Sukuna calls yuji riff raff and then closes his eyes, but then he says "hmm" in surprise because he notices something happened to choso. Most people don't notice that sukuna says hmm in surprise tho since it's really subtle. Wish they made that part more clear.
@@believeume122 yeah I was just making an observation about all reactions I've seen to the episode, in some others ppl hear it but don't think much of it. I couldn't be certain what their case was, but I figured they missed it. It's interesting how common it is.

Sukuna didn't do anything to Choso at the end. That was all actually happening to Choso. There is no subtitle for it, but after Sukuna calls Yuji "riffraff", you hear him go "...hmm?". That's him noticing something is happening to Choso. Which is proof, that Sukuna isn't responsible for what happened.
I’m pretty sure the fake memories are from one of the twins techniques, we see a flash of light through the crack in the wall then Choso gets the fake memories. I’m pretty sure the girl with the phone has this power although they mostly use it to make people off themselves, in this case she probably set it to stop Choso from killing Yuji. Since Choso was already sensing that Yuji was his brother those fake memories were the most effective way to stop him from killing Yuji and leaving.
I'm putting it in the books that this is one of the best fights in any anime. The visual language, the coloring, the beauty of the sakuga, and the fight choreography are all just insane! This is what people mean when they say Peak Anime!
Remember this, Sukuna would never be the type to help itadori. He does not care if itadori dies or not. If it is related to himself then he will interfere. Like in Season 1 Mahito touched Sukunas soul which is why Sukuna attacked Mahito. But before that Sukuna never interfered at all when it was related to itadori. If someone messes with Sukuna then he will fight back.
I think visually this is my favorite episode of season 2. The lighting, the choreography, how they portrayed chosos ability, it's all so amazing. Its not at all how i imagined itd be when i read the manga.
Sukuna didn't do anything to help yuji. You can tell he was surprised by what was happening because he literally said "eh?" in a confused tone. He hates yuji and does not give any semblance of a shit if he dies. This isn't a Naruto becomes friends with Kurama situation.
God this fight is so good. It really shows the effectiveness of a solid action scene for storytelling. This fight alone made me a Choso fan, to be honest. How dangerous his abilities are and the fact that when he gets cornered he just accepts it and adapts tells so much about him.
So fun fact; in the manga when Yuji and Choso get in their fighting stance, it's a perfect recreation of the same fighting stances and face off at the end of Raid Redemption
I was so moved with how well they adapted Yuji Vs Choso. I remember some people thinking this fight would be an absolute wash and that Choso wasn't anything special. Glad they got to see my boy in action. He put in that work. Had it not been for Mechamaru's quick thinking, Yuji would've been in trouble. In fact, even with some of his bigger moves unusable thanks to the water, Choso STILL managed to achieve the W. Not just that, a lot of people seem to think Sukuna is ready to defend Yuji at all times. But we see in this episode, he was just disappointed in how Yuji lost to an opponent Sukuna personally deemed weak. And was prepared to go back to sleeping until he saw Choso freak out. Sukuna is not Yuji's ally. He is not his friend. And he is not some trump card to save the day either. After all, even if he loses Yuji, he still has several fingers that exist in the world. The two girls Geto saved have approached the unconscious Yuji. And Choso has been greeted with a memory of something that never happened. Yuji, sitting at a table and feeding him while calling him brother. How bizarre.

crazy how many people always come up with theory sukuna have all different power when bunch of character saying sukuna power is like slicing or something, and sukuna never care about yuji in the first place
Such a great fight. Visually stunning, as well... Choso really brought it in this fight... he did damn good, considering the fact that he had no fighting experience (other than facing Gojo with basically long-distance hit and run tactics) before facing Yuji.
I don't get how people think that's sakuna who did that he doesn't care if yuji dies he's said it a million times why would he help yuji when he's close to death and why do people think he has some mind control ability of that was the case he would've been used it
@@joshmetz3646 Sort of a spoiler below I'm an anime only, so don't take my comment as 100%, but I'm pretty sure Choso instantly felt Yuji's blood connection as he slowly bled out and his brain sudden gave him a memory of all his brothers together. I guess it was like an anime character trying to remember happy times that never happened, similar to when Yuji imagined Junpei at Jujutsu High.
@@joshmetz3646 choso can feel when his brothers are about to die so when he was about to kill yuji he felt his brotherly relationship with yuji so he stopped himself from killing yuji

There are great fights and episodes left in this season for sure but…for me nothing topped this episode. It was the fight of the season. The lighting, the choreography, the tensions and twists. The callback to season 1 finale with the music and editing. Just WOW. 🖐️ 🩸
Idk if you guys have reacted to episode 17 yet but try to find the blu ray version. The tv version was the episode unfinished so the blu ray will be a better experience
