On July 13, 2017, Christopher Wong Won aka Fresh Kid Ice died in a Miami VA Hospital at age 53 after experiencing acute respiratory failure and shock. Wong Won's death was attributed to cirrhosis of the liver, with the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner citing Hepatitis C and alcohol abuse as contributing factors to his death.

i co-wrote My Rise 2 Fame with Fresh Kid Ice while he lived in a nice place in a gated community in Miramar in 2014/2015 with his BMW in the driveway, his kids around him, and his lady there too, and then promoting it in 2016/2017 not too far from there he had a apartment around Hollywood, FL near Dania Beach. Whoever did the research and titles for these videos not too sharp and missing tremendous info. But big respect to Brother Marquis, a powerful historic songwriter and major hip hop originator

When asked about what they had learned about the music business,Treach pointed out that the main thing was to sign no papers without having a lawyer look them over first. So get an entertainment attorney early and let them review all contracts.

The Music Business has always been a dirty game. Artists in the 1950’s got taken advantage of and it still goes on to this very day. Extremely Disappointing to hear. Especially about Luther Campbell. I thought Luke was a good guy….WOW

I would like to set the record straight. As the one who represents Brother Marquis, Uncle Luke and Chris Wong Won in their termination case, I would like it to be known Chris Wong Won did not die broke. He died without having his rights to the 2 Live Crew albums, having others assume that he did. Before his passing Chinaman broke away from Lil Joe and ventured on to mentor upcoming artists under his label Chinaman records. He was negotiating million dollar deals right before his death and getting his business right. In fact he was getting his business so right it was because of HIM that I was able to locate the contracts for the 2 Live Crew members that are 35 years old. If he didn't save these contracts we would not be at the end of our termination case about to take back his music. He passed not having all he should have but far from broke. He was the wealthiest of them all in regards to the love respect he has from the music community. R.I.P Chinaman Know am fighting for you all.
