@@Bleilock1 It seems satirical or just plain modern "meta-humor" weirdness at first. I honestly don't know what kept me for the first 30 seconds or so... the initial image suggests comedy, maybe? In that sense I believe was OP's context of 'stupid' but then it gets darker and truer and then it like, questions humanity and all othee undertones
@@charlieistryinghisbest no cuz humans are consumers, its in our nature meat consumption was what drove us to take over the planet tho pig meat is good for our health over consumption is very damaging on the other side vegetables are good but take time and a lot of care to sustain
At first, you chuckle at the absurdity of this situation, and then you get invested in the story of two pigs who have different beliefs of the humans that are above them, and what happens when they are fully fed with oats, what the humans do when they’re taken away. WHY WAS THE MOST POETIC THING I’VE WRITTEN ABOUT PIGS ‘N’ OATS?
And lest we forget that brother's first request was to share his oats because he was hungry, not because he was looking out for his bro. Its still possible bro is innocent but he severely diminished bro's credibility.
@@Caramelo23606 it's definitely on the harder side. But you can always turn it into sausages and use bones for soup. The fat can be fried and then cooled so you can put it on bread. And the fat that didn't melt can be used as appetizer.
@@charlieistryinghisbest Is it? They know nothing complicated and their lives are insanely simple. They even feel less in general because their lack of development does not allow them to feel the range of emotions we can, or at least not in the way we do. They cannot even realize the implications of their closed off lives. Their lives are only worse when you take their ignorance of it out of the equation which doesn't make it very fair in comparison to our lives. It is their ignorance that makes their lives simpler in general, be that in the wild or in farms.
I thought about it though, and it's really shady the fact the "caring brother" withheld the story till he had some kind of guilt trip to hold over his brother. 😅. I think he was just trying to get more oats!
The algorithm threw it up from nowhere. Me and my friend had a drinky night, watching this with hangover, I laughed, but my friend stared jaw-dropped, not a word said. He will remember >:)
Man, I wish there was a part 2 or even an entire series. Idk why but the voice acting, as well as the way its presented is so captivating. Something about this video is special. I cant explain it with words.
At first I laughed at the pig for saying he was starving while being of equal size to the moon, only for my smile to fade away as he preached wisdom and warning with such dignity. I am sorry for laughing at you brother. You truly are a saint.
@@mazimadu its written for the common man and doesn't have any serious social commentary or romance..... just aliens killing one another. I used to work in a hobby shop that sold military models. This “getting a kick out of consuming weird media” trend amongst autistic men is really annoying. Do something meaningful with your life if you have a degree. This entire channel is a cesspool for dumb media consumption. It’s like slightly intellectual or vaguely literary brain rot for autistic men.
So I can't stop watching this, to the point that now I'm appreciating the multi-faceted social commentary behind the pig brothers, and I'm sitting in my kitchen like "Wow man, all art has meaning." I have smoked pot today, yes.
The best part of this is that despite the first pig being 100% correct, the goal here isn’t actually to save his brother. He just wants him to share his oats.
@Stoneador You’ve been consuming too much Fluoride in your water and missed the whole point of the video. You have become the person they have been trying for years to enslave: another dumbed down American. WAKE UP BROTHER
@@Vinicius_MullerI do not believe the swine was being underhanded, but only trying to prevent his brother's demise while concealing the horrid reality from his overzealous and naive brother.
Thank you for your kind words tall skinny figure the TLF brought me to the shed of no return not to be slaughtered but rather to eat their young little figures I kept doing this for years and soon I grew massive and then I started to change I became ferocious I was faster than a charging boar after realising I could not die anymore after realising I had procured immortality/became immortal I got rid of all the tall skinny figures and all the young skinny figures all their livestock and soon their very human like food even though I was bigger than my elder brother I outclassed him in being more than mindless livestock it reminds me of tall skinny figureshow we live such simple lives but so too does the tall skinny figures you live on a farm built by the gods u worship they give some of you what u want so u taste fresh when u die the rest he simple doesn't care making u taste sad and u won't be able to avoid it like I have
A tale of ignorance, gluttony, and the mortality that awaits all, all found in what is essentially a shitpost about a pig wanting his brothers oats. Truly a masterpiece for the ages
@@stevejames5580 It's not meant to be thought from our viewpoint, but rather from theirs. For us, these pigs mean nothing normally and this is natural order as long as pigs don't start asking for their own rights and such where they share the same sentiments as us. However, the video itself disguises the most bare human interactions as pigs to convey it in a more primitive and different, yet still the same way. This helps in both gathering more audience due to everyone expecting simply a silly comedy and also making more people see the faults of such interaction they see and/or do often in everyday life simply, due to watching the exact same happen in a more primitive way that more people can see through and eventually connect to their own life. This is the beauty of this video, to send a message to more people by converting not more complex contexts, but rather everyday contexts in a different way that we so got used to, we don't want to dissect and see the wrong with them normally.
There's only one instance wherein either brother does not say "brother" at least once and it is the snooty "no" when brother first asks brother for some oats.
@charlieistryinghisbest Nothing wants to die from a blade of grass to a whale, but that is the way of the world that creatures sustain themselves on the death of others. If your concern is ethics raise your own crops because industrial farming kills more animals than the meat industry does.
honestly would like another take on Animal Farm especially if it's public domain now. a grimdark take on Animal Farm with the lense of Lord of the Flies would make for a great book to read in CP/AP British Lit classes.
This reminds me of Plato’s Allegory of the Cave. There were prisoners that were raised there ever since they were born and chained into a wall where they will always face. The campfire behind them casts out the shadows of objects that moves past by and they only speculate that as their experience in their “world.” But when one prisoner was released into the outside world, he explored and learned so much that it changed his entire life. He went back into the cave to share this with the others in the cave. However they did not believed him and thought he was lying that there was an outside world.
Erm actually, the definition of orwellian isn't authoritarian or similar to Orwells writings in plot, but the manipulation of langauge to manipulate people, i.e., " war is peace, freedom is slavery, and ignorance is strength"🤓

@@charlieistryinghisbesthumanity is omnivorous, but has a much easier time digesting meat than vegetables. The Last Kingdom is one of their historical dramas and it's actually a hidden gem. Not enough people know about it, but it's one of the best stories ever told in my opinion. Peaky Blinders is another 10/10 historical drama of theirs with some interesting arcs that interconnect and reach a surprising conclusion that sticks with me over a year after watching it. They do have good stuff in the historical genre. You just gotta search for it.

I have studied literature for the past 4 years and I can say for certain that not even Shakespeare can be so Shakespearean. The themes of trust, concern, alienation in a brotherly relationships was incredible to me. And the way the tall skinny gods were used divine beings that the brothers would never truly understand made this a masterpiece in my eyes. Bravo!
maybe but it's just a meme that's written in Shakespearean way, this meme can be cut down by simply taking out the over explanation of objects and figures and removing brother as a closing gesture, then it Just becomes a simple conversation which it would still be interesting considering the voice that is reading it is palatable and dramatic. If it weren't for the voice it wouldn't be half as good
