Can I just say this is the most informative video I've seen on the PR machines. I have owned mine nearly 10 years and I was shown by the company that sold me the PR620 to only wrap the thread round the tension disc once and not twice as you have done in your video. They also told me the wrong place to put the oil each day when I turn on my machine. I am so angry now I've seen your video. Luckily it hasn't caused too many issues over the years but does explain some of my problems. Thank you so much for all your advice.
Wow! Thanks so much! I wish you were here in Texas!! When I purchased my Brother, the sales manager or no one else provided any information. I did all the checks you discussed and I’m glad I did. Thanks again
Thanks guys, Your tutorial was really helpful. I’ve owned my machines for 4 yrs . I knew about a few of the techniques you’ve disgusted but there was two or three things I didn’t know. I’ve now saved your tutorial for future reference. 🥂🇬🇧
Thank you so much for this video!! My local technician told me “just oil it and anything else I’ll need to bring to him” but I’ve always done daily and monthly maintenance on my machines so I knew this couldn’t be true even with this embroidery machine. I appreciate your detailed walk-through so much!!! This saved me a fortune in unnecessary service trips for needle changes and lint buildups!!
Thank you for showing step by step maintenance procedures. I never knew exactly where to put the drop of oil in the bobbin area, but now I do. Great video!
This video is so helpful! Some of the things you discuss here I had NO IDEA how to do, or even that they needed done! I discovered this video after I watched and used your video on how to replace the needle threader on the Brother machine. Thank you!!
Crazy; when I bought my Brother PR100e in 2013, I was told I would void the warranty if I did this kind of maintenance myself. I am grateful for the detailed instructions.
Fabulous little video this Thank you for putting it out on RU-vid. Well you have gained a customer from it so when I'm in need of supplies I'll be on the phone to you 😃
Thank you so much! I have learned so much by watching your videos. You have taken the fear out of trying to work on my machine myself. Your videos are so informative and you explain things so clearly! Great job!
The best maintenance video I’ve seen, incredibly informative and answered 3 of my issues I’ve been having recently. Thank you so much, I’ve learnt so much from your video, extremely grateful
Thanks you this was very helpful. The only thing that I did not see was oiling the needle bars. But this was very, very helpful. The cutter under the plate - WOW!
Thank you so much for your tutorial! I have always had trouble with my tread cutter and you showed me exactly how to fix it! I appreciate you taking the time to make this video.
Have you recalibrated the hoops? I've had issues with mine changing between sizes. It's a huge fight for it to take a file from a different hoop size. And the recalibration has to be done several times each time I switch. Now I'm thinking something is up with the sensor
I just got one of these machines Pr600. Person didn't take care of it. Was really dirty, so I know I have to get it cleaned and oiled. Excellent demonstration
Thank you. I have a PDR1000e and I keep getting wiper errors. This was helpful. I mostly get wiper errors if I am stitching small text in a design. I have changed the blades and what you have shown is a really good reference for the next time I have to do this.
Thank you!!! I am having a centering problem and you are now my hero 🙏. I have subscribed to your channel and will continue to watch your easy to understand step by step solutions to everyday problems.
Thank you for this comprehensive video. My automatic needle threader is not working on PR 655. Any suggestions for that please? I am able to thread by hand, but it is inconvenient.
Your videos are awesome. Do you happen to have a way to test the presser foor position on a PR1055X? I'm pretty sure it is bent and needs replacing if it can't be adjusted. I'd love a video on how to replace it. Thank you if you see this message.
Thank you for your channel sir, it's really very helpful. I have one question sir, I am planning to replace my embroidery PCB PR655. My machine often experiences machine PCB reset. If I replace the PCB, does there need to be any special adjustments? or just replace the PCB and the machine can immediately run normally without any special adjustments. sorry for the length of my question. Thank You.
I have a Brother PR600II machine. I have a problem when embroidering on the flat right in the middle of embroidering the machine will automatically change to the hat embroidery. Some times I can move the frame back to flat embroidery and some times I can't. I just finished watching you video on making minor fixes and found some things out that I did not know. I'v had all kinds of problems with this machine since day one. It's been to the repair shop a number of times and they would fix the complaints that I have and when I go to the machine the problems start over.
Good morning thank you for the video. I changed the movable knife and the fixed knife recently however it still won’t cut the thread. I’m still getting trimming sensor error. Can I call you for help please?
Excellent camera work - I hope to have a 6 or 10 needle machine later this year. Not sure if the cost of a 10 needle will result in significantly greater production/revenue.
Thank you so much. I got a 10 needle. I read the manual front to back, still was confused on some of the maintenance stuff. I am afraid to break it! I got a wiper error because I threaded the needle wrong when I first started it up, scared me lol!
Thanks for this… we are getting a quick grinding noise on our second needle. Sometimes when we bring down the threader and other times in the middle of stitching, What could that be? Nothing got stuck, it just started happening.
Hi. This could be a number of problems. The needle bar crank, the top shaft profile cams or the idle pulley gear. All ‘can’ make a grinding noise but aren’t usually localised to a particular needle. We’d suggest a workshop inspection.
Thank you so much for this awesome tutorial! I don’t even have a multineedle machine yet. I just wanted to be informed how to do maintenance, before I purchase one. Do you ship to Germany? As „customer service“ isn’t really a part of the german dictionary any longer, I‘d really take into account buying from you, rather than from some local dealer, who doesn’t provide this excellent advice you offer for free. Subscribed!
Thank you for the wonderful video! I have a babylock emp6, and it's a great machine! I am getting the error when a embroidery motif is done, saying "Impossible to set Start and end points.". The design stitches out fine, and I don't have any other problems with the machine. Any ideas on how to get rid of this message? Thanks
Any ideas about weird squeaking noises - sometimes none at all and other times so loud and intense I have to stop the machine for fear it’s going to destroy itself. I oil it as recommended and just can’t figure out why it randomly makes such awful sounds. :(
Hello. Thanks for the most informative video on maintenance of the multi needle machines. I have a question on the automatic threader. Is there a way to replace it without having to take it in for service?
Hello everyone. If you have any questions - please email your issues to steve@bambersew.com Thank you. For some technical reason, it seems we can't reply to comments, at the moment
I am in the US Have a 5 month old Brother PRS100 that suddenly starts giving an error message “check upper bobbin thread” Everything is correct as far as the thread goes. The local authorized dealer that Brother had me taken it to could not resolve the issue. I am thinking possibly the tensioner sensor has gone bad. My question: is this something that you may consider to be the culprit or can it be much simpler than that just being overlooked.
Great Video--I have a PR1050X that makes a squeeky noise when the machine is stitching out and has to move front to back (almost as if the rails needs to be oiled)----do you think this is the case? if so - do you have any videos on this? i have 2 brother machines but just my PR1050x is having this issue. thanks so much!!! do i just regular oil for this rail?
Mark have you found out why it makes a squeaky noise? I am having the same issue and can’t see to figure it out. Babylock says it’s a normal noise but I don’t think it does (comparing to when I first got the machine)
I just got a second hand 620 pr. The door cover on the arm where bobbin is won't shut. Tape holding it. I'm in North Queensland Australia. No service places. Just wondered if I order replacement knives if there's a spring to fix door I could replace
