Ummm... please tellme you had a few asbestos tests done?? Judging by the age of that house and what work you did.. there are at least 3 areas i would be super concerned with.

What a beautiful home! Love the incorporation of the old wood into certain areas. I can't imagine the work that went into this total gut job, but ya'll breathed new life into a house that was rundown, unhappy, neglected and no doubt full of asbestos, lead paint and possible mold. What a true labor of love... and you can't put a price tag on that! ❤

They actually spent many hours de-nailing the original flooring and got it refinished and put it in the kitchen area.

i personally would have updated the exterior, but kept the interior close to how it was. i really like the look and feel of older houses, unless they are musty, then i'd fix that.

I- literally- do not understand how homeowners can't at least periodically paint or ever put down new flooring since the 60s or 70s. It's bizarre to me how many homes out there stay stuck in time until someone comes along to renovate decades later.

While the renovation looks okay, some things I disagree on but hey, it's not my dream house. The building aspect of it would've been nice too. Not the tearing it out, and boom, end result.

You guys did an amazing job, the house really needed a gut job, but in the end, it looks fantastic. The only horrible thing are the comments with these people complaining about things they don't know and only saw 5 seconds of the whole scene. Some people are really annoying.

My dad has about 13 rent houses, and he bought a new one today. I want to live there once it is all fixed up because it’s so beautiful. But my dad says we can’t because nobody else would want to move. When I’m older I’m planning on being a teacher and working with my dad on rent houses on weekends and summers. I’m excited for it. I’m the type of person who likes to pack things and clean things and fix things, so I really want to pack all of my things, then unpack them at the new rent house my dad got. But nobody else likes that type of thing. I really want to live there and I feel so at home there, plus we have been in this house for 10 years already 😢

I appreciate all the work you put into that. But it just feels and looks like you erased a pretty great historic home. The wood floors..OH... it physically hurts. i'm just wondering why you would pick a house with so much beautiful historical charm and detail if you knew you were going to erase most of it. I mean, I do respect the fact that we all have our own individual preferences and the right to do the things that make us happy... I guess what I'm saying is that it's hard to appreciate a good reno when (while good was gained) so much good was also lost in the process.

So much work to take it down to the studs, including ripping out real, original hardwood flooring. The only parts that looked incredible were the kitchen and exterior, and you barely showed the kitchen. I appreciate all the hard work and cost, but underwhelmed would be an understatement.

Had to quit watching because of the super annoying music!

This was bitter sweet for me to watch. I am having just one room (so far) done and the demolition felt like having a family member in I.C.U. in the hospital. Part of the house is gone, the old is torn down and taken away; it felt sad to watch. Then the end result, all new and modern, revived! My house needs much more done to it and it scares me to see it in the "gutting" stage. I took pictures to document as much as I could; I like before and after shots, which is why I really enjoyed your video. It gives me hope to continue with the rest of the house. Thank you for sharing.

I have never been into any other colors like green or red and blue in houses because to me it looks messy I mostly been into white, gray and black and the house came out wonderful 😍
