***RoseSkinCo. recommends that if you must use the IPL over freckles or moles, it is ok to color them with white (eyeliner, etc) in order to use the IPL on the area. Also, as you can see in the video, I have “strawberry skin” on my legs and the IPL does not affect that. IPL will most likely affect very dark freckles or moles.
Hi! Quick question...😅 I'm a brown skinned black girl with PCOS and I have a lot of hyperpigmentation on my face (my jawline) from having to shave everyday. I want to buy this SPECIFICALLY for my face. Can I use this with me having hyperpigmentation from shaving? How can I do that safely without getting burned (if it'll burn you if you have moles or freckles I'm terrified it'll burn my face)🥺 Do I shade ALL my hyperpigmentation in with the white liner? (That'll be a loooot of white liner lol) Thanks!
Your teeth are so pretty!!! Thank you so much I’m still in the market for an IPL device for a couple of years. just haven’t taken the plunge lol. I’m an avid waxed and I think the shave part has me like 🙅🏽♀️I’ve been waxing for almost 20 years so there’s not much
Thank you so much!! 💜 I was the same way! I was big on waxing everything & I didn’t want to go back to shaving! But I am so glad I tried this! It has changed my life!
Girls are there any suggestions. I’m on week 13 of using level 2 and the hair is still here. Doesn’t grow back as fast and not AS COURSE but still here. I’m going to keep using it and will one day update how many weeks it’s taken to get to no hair. I’m gonna try and bump it up to 2-3 times a week instead of everytime I shave which has dropped to once a week with how slow the hair grows. This is on armpits, no no spot and rarely my legs because I already barely grow any hair there. If anyone else has experienced the same PLEASE let me know! I’ll be posting this on another review video for more insight! And yes I’m black! Maybe same skin tone or a little darker than Ms DW here!
So my legs look exactly like yours with the dark pores and I assumed that was because of shaving. But I have only used Nair and exfoliate but they are still dark. I thought hair removal that goes below the surface such as this laser would lighten them but it seems it does not??
Shaving irritates my skin so bad! So I actually use a Nair hair remover for sensitive skin before using my device. I had my sessions professionally done and they all used a gel for smooth gliding. Is there a difference to using these ipl devices without a gel?
Oh thank you for your video. Is this a question to anyone in the community. I am of East Indian origin and I have a Fitzgerald skin five, can I use this on my face for some hyperpigmented areas? Does anybody know the answer? Thank you.
I have the Kenzzi and I did notice lighter armpits, bikini line and upper lip. I feel like it did lighten those areas and I’ve only done it for two weeks for lip and bikini line; and armpit once
Hey I’m looking to use an ipl on my… essentially “neck beard”, and help ingrown hair. A possible problem is hyperpigmentation since the device targets the contrast could that be an issue? I’ve resorted the magic shave cream which works better than shaving granted and minimizes my ingrown hairs but they are still prevalent.
Thanks for the helpful review! I am just wondering that should I wait one or two days after shaving to use the IPL or straightaway? If straightaway, I am not certain if my follicles are visibly dark for the laser to detect it
thank you so much for doing this video! all i saw on their website where pictures of white girls and i'm like, okay...but dues it work on black people? Even their 'quiz' says it doesn't work well on dark skin so i was skeptical. Q: you have to shave before each Lumi use, right? (not just before the very first time)
LOve LOve your video @life of a Dreamer, but i have a question so I shave before I use the Rose IPL and when I used it after it starts burning my skin do i have wait for my hair to grow back? I put level l (I put the Rose IPL to lowest and still burn my skin and I have the same skin tone like yours.
Hmm. I always wonder if you can use depilatory creams with these because my skin prefers Nair to shaving, and I wouldn’t really want to have to start shaving again. I don’t think I would mind having to wear sunscreen though because I already do that daily and even reapply. But anyway, thank you for this video, it helps make my decision easier
Hi! Yes, both will give you smooth, hair free skin but Lumi has 6 intensity levels (vs. 5 with OG), a longer cord for ease, and an advanced cooling technology to maximize comfort. ✨
I started out using 1 device, but I’ve been using the Lumi for 95% of my journey because it’s better & I found it after I had already started using the 1st one. The Lumi is the only one I’ve been using since then.
It depends on your preference, time, pain tolerance, & money. Would you be getting laser hair removal? Laser is more powerful and painful, but it takes more time in between sessions. But it’s great and can be permanent. IPL has been great for me because I can do it in the comfort of my own home, on my own time, & it has lessened the hair growth so much over the sessions. And eventually it will be permanent as well. I’m not completely hairless in my underarms yet, but I’m happy with the results & im going to keep doing it. So to save a lot of money, time, & I control the pain level, I would say this is the best option for me!
@@Loa.Dreamer Thank you so much for this, I appreciate it. Already got a quote with a dermatology clinic but I think I would go with your recommendation. Please, where can I find this particular one and what is the price?
@@luluIsi3381 it’s on the description I believe but there are so many IPL devices. I bought one from Aliexpress for 32. They range from prices and different kinds
You will still see results. It may take a little longer depending on your consistency of use, your hair texture, thickness, genetics, different factors. I would say stick with it. It’s definitely worth it!
Yes, you have to shave beforehand so that the light knows what pigment to attack to get down to the follicle. It helped fade the dark spots on my armpits in the process.
the hair follicle has to be present for it to distinguish the contrast between light and dark, if you remove the hair follicle by waxing it will grow back normally.
Just bought one and that’s what the booklet said. Didn’t mention side of face, but I’m assuming you can because it’s under the eyes or away from them rather
@@tweetiddleydum Sorry to hear. Yes, as we do advise reading the manual which includes testing the IPL and the intensity level(s) on the skin prior to all over use.
