Continuing the trend of dual overdrives like the Analogman King of Tone and Kingtone Duelist, Brown Amplification released the Protein, let's have a look!

Do you fix pedals the green Chanel on mine no sound and when I move the tone knob back and forth I get sound it’s new used it twice thanks

It's based on the ODR-1, but it has less gain - so the sweep is far more usable, and it has less mid scoop - so there is more beef to the low mids.

Cusack music does alot of boards for a ton of pedal brands. JHS,browne, etc. These brands are no longer boutique in my mind

Would love to see inside a chase bliss pedal. Automatone would be awesome, but even a gravitas would be insightful on how they work their midi magic. Jackson audio bloom would also be good. Cheers

Could you teardown new 2022 KingTone Duellist? Interesting to see if he really used 282 BAT diodes and awkward resistor values like on Aion boards etc..Which you could buy only at Digikey.. Resistors are possible to measure without desoldering

I guess with the "separate loop" concept you could run them independently and put them in whichever order you wanted

Hey there I have no experience with circuits besides soldering. I need to replace the switch for the green side. Is it a matter of buying a 3 pole latching switch and pulling the old one off to put the new one off? Would you mind giving me a pointer for this repair? Thanks a lot, helpful video.

Desoldering a 3PDT footswitch is really hard. I don't think I would attempt it without a vacuum desoldering gun. You might be able to take apart the footswitch and remove each solder lug individually.

they look like just standard 3PDT, but they're a bear to desolder. You might be better off contacting browne for repair, they can swap that whole daughterboard. good luck!
