Browning Citori 725: Guns & Gear|S4 

I have grade 6 lightning a 725 feather 12 gauge a 20 gauge 725 field all three shoot great look great every time I look at a new over under I always compare it to a browning you can’t go wrong with a browning

Search "SuperPosed". Browning was the first commercial o/u shotgun.

The first Browning I bought was a Superposed made in Belgium. When the Citori came out I sold my Superposed for over a $1000 and bought a Japanese made Citori gun for $600. 😎 Both great shooting shotguns btw.

I just bought the 725 Feather 12 gauge over under with a 26 inch barrel and weighing only 6 pounds and 7 ounces.

Depends on conditions, if you're shooting trap on a nice day and low winds, myself and my teammates like 7 1/2 - 8 1oz. loads. If you're shooting skeet in the same conditions, I like an 8 or 8/12 size shot. However if it is windy, I tend to go with a larger size shot so that the wind doesn't effect the shot as much. I'm not one to steal anyone else's thunder so to speak but John Browning was not the first to introduce an over/under shotgun., nor was he the first to commercially introduce same. If you'er not going to give correct info or bother to look it up, what does that do to your over all oipnion of this or any other weapon. ???

With all due respect snap caps should be used when dry firing a shotgun. Reason: To reduce the likelihood of damage to the firing pins. I recently handled personally a new Browning 725 Citori 20 gauge over and under shotgun with 26" barrels. The price was just under $2000.00. However, I'm sure it's well worth the cost. To bad lead shot is banned for waterfowl hunting. This beautiful shotgun in 20 gauge and 26" barrels would be ideal for the dual purpose of "upland birds/waterfowl" hunting. Even for hunting whitetail deer via 3" 20 gauge slugs in close cover. Carrying a gun like this afield would indeed be a pleasure. Oh yes.....I realize this is beyond the scope of this video but consider hunting Bobwhite quail in Oklahoma, Georgia, or other region which has the likely reality of encountering a rattlesnake, water moccasin, or other dangerous venomous reptile. A standard 20 gauge No. 6 or 7.5 load would cut a venomous snake in half at close range, including this Browning 725 Citori. And such incidents do happen. -----Jim Farmer

Shopping/ looking around for a good 20 gauge grouse gun. I have a rem. 870 which serves me well but looking for an upgrade. I am a southpaw shooter (like you) on the video. Will an off the rack Citori 725 be good or should I be looking for the lefthand version.

At 4:05 are you having to push the shell into the top barrel's chamber?

the new best gun: citori 725. I will have mine with the 32" brls, and 12 gauge 3" chamber and a rifled choke to shoot a few frikin' 870 grain Dixie slugs at 1500fps. that would prove how good a gun it is.

I truly respect John M. Browning as the best firearms engineer of all time. He did not invent the O/U shotgun, the Boss co. Owns that honor.

Did I actually just see two game hunting videos compiled by an organisation whose business is selling shotguns, neither of which actually showed any game being shot? I genuinely hope that I am mistaken.

browning may have DESIGNED the first mass produced superposed gun , he did not invent it. Superposed is just another name for over and under , or under and over ,and it is not clear who first invented that configuration . Several british gunmakers patented actions well before 1920 , the boss and woodward systems were most certainly 'commercial ' ,indeed they are still being made! Many modern actions are directly based on them. It is most likely that the original idea for superposed barrels came from Germany. Browning designed his gun but it was actually made in Belgium ! Please get your facts right

The guy in the white hair says on the older browning over and Andrews sometimes you had to bang on the stock to get it to shoot he is full of shit that never happened to my Browning over and under I have an old one but two months ago I did buy a 725 just like this one

Browning did not "invent" the over and under. English gun makers were building O/U 20 years before the B25 "superposed" was born. Browning just made a "cheaper" way to produce them
