Saturday, June 25, 2016 - At the end of our first week of sabbatical my wife and I departed Gulf Shores Alabama and made our way to Pensacola Florida for the day. 18 years ago I lived there and attended the Brownsville Revival School of Ministry (BRSM); a bible school that was birthed out of the Brownsville Revival (aka the Pensacola Revival/Father's Day Outpouring). I had not been there since the day I departed 18 years before. My vivid memories of the city/revival made this visit enjoyably surreal. The places we visited were all "altars" in my life; places where God marked me and I would never be the same.
The journey begins along old Highway 98 at the former location of Liberty Church (now New Life Church), which doubled as the campus of BRSM. Next we stopped at the Crystal Lake Apartments which is where I lived from the fall of 97 to the spring of 98. Finally we stopped at Brownsville Assembly of God church. On the day we visited, it just so happened that they were having an entire day of continuous worship, which allowed us to enter, reflect, worship and pray. A pastor's wife told us that the "river" has never stopped flowing at Brownsville.
Although the revival was controversial to some, misunderstood by others, and by no means perfect (since imperfect people led it) [^insert grace], there is no doubt that thousands upon thousands of people were saved, delivered and healed by the transforming power of Jesus. I choose to remember and take away the positives that came out of it for me. It was a beautiful season that was marked by times of incredible challenge and loneliness, but also learning and impartation.
This is a video that I had been waiting to make for a long time. I hope you like it, especially if the Lord used Brownsville to transform you life.
"Lord, revive us once again!"

Wow. Awesome video! I remember I came to Pensacola and hardly had anything. I was fortunate to find a "revival house" and that's where I stayed until I got something of my own. I came to Brownsville Assembly in 2000. I was obedient to GOD and he blessed me in such a short time with a job and my own place and all I brought was a little cash and my clothes. GOD took care of the rest! Shalom!

Brother there were two sisters in 1995 Amie ward and her sister Elizabeth ward who was very powerfully touched by the Holy Spirit. It has been 27 years. Where are they now in 2022.

That revival has left a mark on my whole family in 1999. I feel like it's coming back in me. Actually I dont think it ever left. The best days of our lives! Feel so blessed to be a part in that outpouring! Thank you for sharing! I remember sleeping in a chair the night before the next service. Yes ,it was hot as blazes! But was all worth it! Thank you for making this video, it was very cool to see it. I also graduated from brsm, in 2004, but attended Brownsville for years going all the way back to 95 and even before because I had family that went there since the early 80s. A lot of folks have forgotten the recipe for Revival. I remember when Pastor Kilpatrick cancel the Sunday night services in 1993 and dedicated those service times strictly to prayer. some people thought he was crazy. But wow what a harvest! 20 something years later, it's still going! Anyway bless you brother!

Robert Gurule yes, in lay ministry. I do some outreach with some brethren here in Pensacola (I'm still around), am active with the worship band and do as missions often as possible. Looked into full time but that wasn't the direction God had for us. At least not yet!

@@mr.dustinv.5463 your salvation is based on an experience then your conversion was a counterfeit people are saved by faith in Christ and his finished work on Calvary not from an experience that's why Steve Hill was a false prophet and so was John Kilpatrick they were munipulaters and munipulation is a form of witchcraft

I've only been introduced to these Brownsville revivals for the last couple of weeks, though I've been saved since 2002. I've read many books on revival. But the videos are the first time I've ever seen it in operation. Since watching them, the Lord has delivered me from a strong demonic foothold that was in my life since 2008. He has set me free and it no longer has influence in me! Through these videos, He has been calling me to holiness and a deeper worship of Him. He fulfills every empty space in me! I am His vessel. And I so long to have God move in New Orleans the way He has moved in Brownsville! Robert, thank you for posting this video and sharing these "altars". There is just something about these Brownsville videos that make me feel at home!

So much enjoyed your video. I wish that I would have been there during it all. I so much enjoy watching the videos of the revival, while watching I imagine myself right in the middle of it, I get so Blessed watching, I'm so glad the river is still flowing. Sad that it ended, but the best is yet to come, God allowed us to have a taste of his Glory, but as i said the best is yet to come, when God pours out His Glory on All flesh, I'm excited and eagerly wait for another great move of the HolynSpirit. These videos have filled a hunger in me that makes my soul ache for God, they are powerful and anointed. 🤗

And it always touches my heart. I really want the same move of God to touch my city, Moscow, Russia, as well as our entire country. God bless you brother.

Sure, I will. I'm a regular listener of Dr. Michael Brown's (BRSM President) radio show The Line Of Fire where he speaks a lot about America needing a new revival. Steve Hill visited our church in Moscow (Word of Life) in early October 2003 and held an evangelistic campaign for 4 days, and that's when I first heard of him. We also have a number of his books in our church bookstore.

What happened,what put out the flame of the Brownsville Revival? Almost nobody talks about it anymore,in fact nobody does. I was 14 during the Brownsville Revival.

I think church and denominational politics, combined with the departure of the four main leaders (Hill, Brown, Cooley and Kilpatrick) put strain on and extinguished the flame of the revival. I have high respect for the Brownsville Revival and was even prayed for by Pastor Kilpatrick back in 2012 when he came to Missouri for the Bay Revival. He still carries the Anointing. I am longing and fervently praying for a massive worldwide revival to break out. Living normal lives don’t cut it anymore. Send revival or we die, Lord! FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! Now, in Jesus’ Name!

This school ,is it something like the "Misom" program in Michigan .I am in my last of a 3 year program.It's a program to train people for ministry who don't have the resources or time to attend bible college .You work on your course at home for the month then one weekend a month you attend lectures and an exam .At the end of the program you have finished about 30 courses .

We have something similar in our network called DSOM. However, BRSM was a physical school of ministry where people attended classes and earned their ministry certificates. This school is now Fire School of Ministry fireschoolofministry.com.

I never been to this revival, but being a 90s teen growing up in the church I heard a LOT about it! My X wife's parents were BIG into this revival in the late 90s and early 2000s!(I was a Southern Baptist boy myself. lol) I never got to go, but I had friend that did(She was in that "Fire school" you are talking about. Her name was "Hope".) Also I heard A LOT about it and seen VHS videos of the revival. It is cool to go back and visit old places from your youth...and it can make you emotional.

Its sad to see churches covering the windows to their baptistries like baptism no longer matters. Jesus said "He that believeth AND is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned." Mark 16:16. If they get rid of baptism they get rid of salvation. Because believing is only part of it.
